The Ministry of Transport has just issued a decision setting the maximum price for basic economy class domestic air passenger transport services sold within Vietnam.
Domestic economy class passenger transport services sold within Vietnam are priced and categorized according to distance and route group.
Specifically, the group of routes contributing to socio -economic development with distances under 500km, including: Can Tho-Con Dao; Hai Phong-Dien Bien; Ho Chi Minh City-Rach Gia; Hanoi-Dien Bien; Ho Chi Minh City-Con Dao/Ca Mau, have a maximum price of 1.6 million VND/ticket/one-way.
Other groups with distances under 500km include: Chu Lai-Buon Ma Thuot; Can Tho-Da Lat/Buon Ma Thuot/Phu Quoc; Da Nang-Vinh/Buon Ma Thuot; Hai Phong-Vinh; Ho Chi Minh City-Phu Quoc/Nha Trang/Da Lat/Buon Ma Thuot/Tuy Hoa/Pleiku; Hanoi -Vinh/Dong Hoi; Quy Nhon/Da Lat; Da Nang/Pleiku/Quy Nhon/Dong Hoi; Ho Chi Minh City-Can Tho, with a maximum price of 1.7 million VND/ticket/one-way.
The group of routes with distances from 500km to under 850km includes: Buon Ma Thuot-Phu Quoc; Can Tho-Nha Trang/Quy Nhon/Pleiku; Chu Lai-Van Don; Da Nang-Thanh Hoa/Hai Phong/Da Lat/Can Tho/Nha Trang/Van Don; Hue-Van Don/Da Lat/Nha Trang; Hai Phong-Hue; Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang/Hue/Quy Nhon/Chu Lai; Hanoi-Hue/Da Nang/Chu Lai; Vinh-Quy Nhon/Buon Ma Thuot/Pleiku; Phu Quoc-Da Lat/Nha Trang/Pleiku/Quy Nhon; Pleiku-Thanh Hoa, with a maximum fare of 2.25 million VND/ticket/one-way.
The maximum fare for routes between 850km and under 1,000km is 2.89 million VND/ticket/one-way, including: Buon Ma Thuot-Thanh Hoa/Hai Phong; Da Nang-Con Dao; Da Lat-Vinh; Hai Phong-Quy Nhon; Ho Chi Minh City-Dong Hoi; Hanoi-Quy Nhon/Pleiku; Vinh-Quy Nhon/Nha Trang; Pleiku/Van Don/Hai Phong; Quy Nhon-Van Don/Thanh Hoa; Phu Quoc-Chu Lai.
The group of routes with distances from 1000km to under 1280km includes: Buon Ma Thuot/Van Don; Can Tho-Vinh; Nha Trang-Van Don; Da Nang-Phu Quoc; Da Lat-Van Don; Hai Phong-Nha Trang/Da Lat/Tuy Hoa; Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City/Nha Trang/Buon Ma Thuot/Tuy Hoa/Da Lat; Ho Chi Minh City-Hai Phong/Vinh/Thanh Hoa; Hue-Phu Quoc; Tuy Hoa-Van Don; Thanh Hoa-Phu Quoc/Da Lat/Nha Trang; Phu Quoc-Dong Hoi, with a maximum fare of 3.4 million VND/ticket/one-way.
The maximum fare for routes of 1,280km or more is 4 million VND/ticket/one-way, including: Can Tho-Thanh Hoa/Hai Phong/Van Don; Hai Phong-Con Dao/Phu Quoc; Hanoi-Con Dao/Can Tho/Phu Quoc/Rach Gia/Ca Mau; Ho Chi Minh City-Van Don/Dien Bien; Vinh-Phu Quoc/Con Dao; Thanh Hoa-Con Dao; Phu Quoc-Van Don.
This maximum airfare does not include the following charges: value-added tax; charges collected on behalf of businesses providing passenger terminal and security services, including: fees for passenger services at airports; fees for passenger and baggage security; and additional service charges.
The Vietnam Civil Aviation Authority is responsible for inspecting compliance with legal regulations on domestic air transport service prices and specialized aviation service prices within its jurisdiction, as well as announcing the list of domestic routes categorized by flight distance groups.../.
