Gasoline prices drop for third consecutive time, highest drop of nearly 400 VND/liter

Gasoline prices reduced from 3pm today, September 5

Specifically, after a decrease of 353 VND/liter compared to the current price, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline is no higher than 19,979 VND/liter. RON95 gasoline is down 282 VND/liter, no higher than 20,827 VND/liter.

Diesel price decreased by 385 VND/liter, not higher than 18,092 VND/liter. Kerosene price decreased by 341 VND/liter, not higher than 18,724 VND/liter and fuel oil price decreased by 407 VND/kg, not higher than 15,155 VND/kg.

During this operating period, the authorities continued not to set aside or spend the price stabilization fund for all goods.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , the world oil market in this adjustment period (from August 29, 2024 to September 4, 2024) is affected by factors such as: oil supply from Libya and OPEC+ countries is expected to increase in the coming time; China's oil demand remains weak; military conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues, etc. The above factors have caused world oil prices to fluctuate up and down in recent days, but the downward trend is the main one.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period on August 29, 2024 and the adjustment period on September 5, 2024 is: 82.124 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5RON92 gasoline (down 1.812 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.16%); 86.314 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (down 1.346 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 1.54%); 88.960 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 1.846 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.03%); 86.966 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 2.100 USD/barrel, equivalent to a decrease of 2.36%); 434,222 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 14,062 USD/ton, equivalent to a decrease of 3.14%).

In the most recent adjustment period on August 29, the prices of all types of gasoline and oil decreased slightly. Specifically, E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by 92 VND/liter, not higher than 20,332 VND/liter, RON95 gasoline decreased by 208 VND/liter, not higher than 21,109 VND/liter.

Diesel price decreased by 299 VND/liter, not higher than 18,477 VND/liter. Kerosene price decreased by 84 VND/liter, not higher than 19,065 VND/liter and fuel oil price decreased by 194 VND/kg, not higher than 15,562 VND/kg.

Since the beginning of the year, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 18 times, while oil prices have increased 15 times and decreased 19 times.
