Previously, at around 5:30 p.m. on July 25, at Km615+650 on National Highway 1, through Quang Trach commune, Quang Tri province, a container truck with license plate 50LD-156.xx pulling a trailer 51R-338.xx (driver unknown) was traveling in the South-North direction. When approaching the intersection, it suddenly crashed into the back of a container truck with license plate 50H-036.xx pulling a trailer 51R-340.xx that was waiting for a red light ahead.

The strong impact completely deformed the front of the container truck. The driver was injured and trapped in the cabin, panicking and unable to get out. Immediately after the accident, authorities and people near the accident site quickly arrived at the scene, cut open the cabin, and took the victim to the emergency room.
Forces from the Traffic Police Department, Quang Tri Provincial Police and Quang Trach Commune Police also quickly arrived at the scene to direct traffic and provide guidance to ensure traffic safety.
Currently, the cause of the accident is being investigated and clarified by the authorities.
