With central and local capital sources, from September 8 (after storm No. 3) to now, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, has disbursed loans to 1,620 households with an amount of VND 108.7 billion, including many households affected by storm No. 3, to overcome difficulties, restore production, and develop the economy .
The Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, continues to focus capital resources to prioritize loan disbursement for households, areas, and localities affected by the storm to ensure full satisfaction of demand. The bank also extends debt and adjusts repayment terms for loans due from September 2024. The normal term is a maximum of 12 months for short-term loans and a maximum of 1/2 of the loan term for medium and long-term loans.
In addition, the province currently has 12,709 households borrowing policy credit with a total outstanding debt of VND 741 billion that were damaged by storm No. 3. For these households, the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch, will temporarily stop collecting interest until December 31, 2024.
Implementing the opinion of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned departments and branches to preside over and coordinate in developing and promptly completing the draft resolution on loan interest rate support and additional lending policies at the Bank for Social Policies, Quang Ninh branch.
