On the afternoon of July 31, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee worked with relevant departments, branches and units to resolve problems in a number of lake dredging projects and irrigation works in the southern region of the province.
According to the report of Ninh Thuan Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd., among the 6 dredging projects of reservoirs and irrigation works approved in principle by the Provincial People's Committee and assigned to the company as the investor and implementation organization, the company was assigned to manage and exploit 3 projects: Dredging the upstream of Tan My dam; dredging the upstream of Cay Sung dam; dredging the Nuoc Ngot lake. The company requested the Provincial People's Committee to consider and allocate funds to conduct the survey, prepare project documents and organize the dredging of the sediment volume of the reservoir and the dam to ensure the safety of the works, while ensuring the ability to store water for production.

For the remaining 3 projects that were not assigned to the company for management and exploitation by the Provincial People's Committee, including: Dredging and improving the waterway for boat operations at Vinh Hy Tourist Area; dredging the flood drainage system in Phuoc Minh commune and neighboring areas; dredging and clearing the flow of Tra Co River, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to consider and assign other units to be investors and implement.
After listening to the opinions of the leaders of departments and branches, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang emphasized that dredging of irrigation reservoirs, hydroelectric reservoirs, waterways, river mouths, estuaries, etc. is very necessary. However, relevant departments, branches and units need to develop detailed annual plans; develop design documents, evaluate and calculate in a specific, transparent and accurate manner, in accordance with the provisions of law, thereby serving as a basis for implementation, ensuring strictness, feasibility and no loss. At the same time, it is necessary to evaluate, determine the volume, strictly control, and select capable units for implementation. For irrigation reservoirs and canals, assign management and exploitation units to conduct statistics and propose dredging needs. For waterways and estuaries, assign the provincial project management boards to review, compile statistics, evaluate and propose to the province for consideration and decision.
