Decreased twice in a row, RON95-III gasoline price falls to 19,700 VND per liter

From 3:00 p.m. on July 24, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline decreased by VND202/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by VND216/liter and fuel oil decreased by VND99/kg. In contrast, diesel oil increased by VND330/liter and kerosene increased by VND199/liter.

The prices of E5 RON92, RON95-III gasoline and fuel oil continued to decrease in today's operating period (July 24).

According to the urgent document of the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to the main traders and distributors of gasoline and oil on the management of domestic gasoline and oil retail prices, from 3 p.m., the ceiling price of E5RON92 gasoline is 19,279 VND/liter, down 202 VND/liter compared to the current price; RON95-III gasoline has a new price of 19,709 VND/liter, down 216 VND/liter and fuel oil is down 99 VND, down to 15,379 VND/kg.

In the opposite direction, diesel increased by 330 VND/liter, to 19,129 VND/liter and kerosene increased by 199 VND, the new price is 18,628 VND/liter.

The operator requested not to set aside or use the Price Stabilization Fund for petroleum products. As for the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), as of the time before the price adjustment, the balance of the Price Stabilization Fund (BOG) at the enterprise was 3,084 billion VND, unchanged from the most recent announcement.

This is the second consecutive reduction in gasoline prices. The most recent (July 17), E5RON92 gasoline price decreased by 178 VND/liter; RON95-III gasoline decreased by 165 VND/liter; diesel oil decreased by 38 VND/liter; fuel oil decreased by 85 VND/kg. Kerosene alone increased by 58 VND/liter.

According to Decree No. 80/2023/ND-CP amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 95/2021/ND-CP dated November 1, 2021 and Decree No. 83/2014/ND-CP dated September 3, 2014 of the Government on petroleum trading, the period of petroleum price management will be shortened from 10 days to 7 days, implemented every Thursday.

In case the price management period coincides with a holiday according to regulations, it will be implemented as follows: If Thursday coincides with the first day of the holiday, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the preceding Wednesday. If Thursday coincides with the remaining holidays, the petrol price management period will be implemented on the first working day after the holiday.
