Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan talks with Mr. Kléber Arhoul at the National Museum of History
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoan expressed her joy at welcoming Mr. Kléber Arhoul and the delegation to the Museum for the first time. She briefly introduced the history of the National Museum of History building, the predecessor of the Louis Finot Museum of the French School of the Far East. She also said that the Museum is currently preserving more than 200,000 documents and artifacts reflecting the historical and cultural process of Vietnam, in which many valuable collections of artifacts have been received from the French School of the Far East. In addition, the Museum also stores many research works, documents, excavation reports... by famous French scholars such as: Louis Finot, L. Pajot, Henri Parmentier, Louis Malleret, Jean Boisselier... on Vietnamese history and culture. Currently, the Museum is implementing a plan to digitize documents, translate, and publish monographs to promote the value of this heritage.

Mr. Kléber Arhoul said that before coming to Vietnam, he had researched and learned that Vietnam is a country with a diverse culture, rich in identity, with important historical marks. At the same time, he was also very interested in the research of French scholars. Therefore, when coming to Vietnam, he wanted to visit a place that could preserve the most complete and general history and culture of Vietnam, so he chose the National Museum of History.

At the meeting, both sides hoped that in the future there would be more opportunities to cooperate in further research on Vietnamese history and culture.
At the end of the discussion, Mr. Kléber Arhoul and the members visited the exhibition system of the National History Museum. He was very impressed with the collections at the Museum such as: the national treasure Van Ban Pagoda Bell, the collection of Vietnamese handicrafts, especially the research results of French scholars displayed here.
