Who will be the Director of the Can Tho Department of Construction after the merger?

Following the Can Tho City People's Council's resolution to merge six departments, the City People's Committee announced the decisions appointing directors for these departments that same afternoon.

On the afternoon of February 20th, the People's Committee of Can Tho City held a conference to implement the Resolution of the City People's Council on the decision to establish, reorganize, and maintain specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Can Tho City.

At the conference, Mr. Chau Viet Tha, Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, announced the Decisions of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City regarding personnel matters.

Can Tho City Party Secretary Do Thanh Binh and Can Tho City People's Council Chairman Pham Van Hieu presented the Decision and flowers to congratulate the new directors of the merged departments.

Specifically, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City decided to appoint Mr. Le Tien Dung, Director of the Department of Transport, to the position of Director of the Department of Construction after the merger; and 7 Deputy Directors of this Department, including: Mr. Huynh Van Sau, Mr. Le Minh Hai Hau, Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Tung, Mr. Pham Van Dong, Mr. Ta Chi Nhan and Mr. Tran Nguyen Hoang Nam.

Mr. Chau Viet Tha, Director of the Department of Internal Affairs, has been appointed as Director of the Department of Internal Affairs after the merger; the three Deputy Directors are: Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, Mr. Tieu Minh Duong, and Mr. Truong Hong Du.

Mr. Le Thanh Tam, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, was appointed Director of the Department of Finance after the merger; the six Deputy Directors are: Mr. Bui Van Kiet, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Si, Mr. Phan Canh Tuyen Hai, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Mr. Truong Quoc Trang, and Mr. Vo Nhut Quang.

Mr. Tran Phu Loc Thanh, Acting Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, has been appointed as Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the four Deputy Directors are: Mr. Nguyen Tan Nhon, Mr. Pham Nam Huan, Mr. Pham Trung Hieu, and Mr. Tran Thai Nghiem.

Mr. Ngo Anh Tin, Director of the Department of Science and Technology, has been appointed as the Director of the Department of Science and Technology after the merger; the four Deputy Directors are: Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh Binh, Mr. Tran Dong Phuong An, Ms. Tran Hoai Phuong, and Mr. Truong Hoang Phuong.

Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee, has been appointed Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion; the three Deputy Directors are Mr. Ho Quang Phuong, Mr. Le Hung Yen, and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoa.

At the same time, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Duong The Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications, to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Mr. Le Tien Dung, the new Director of the Department of Construction of Can Tho City, was born in 1972. His professional qualifications include a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (bridges and roads), and a Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic Engineering.
Prior to his appointment as Director of the City's Department of Transportation in February 2019, Mr. Le Tien Dung was the Deputy Director of the Department.
