Supervising the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Tan Chau town

On the morning of May 20, Supervisory Delegation No. 1 led by Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province Dang Thi Hoa Ray worked with Tan Chau Town on the results of the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Supervision in Long Son ward

The delegation worked with town leaders and representatives of local authorities of communes and wards.

Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Dang Thi Hoa Ray spoke at the meeting.

The monitoring team conducted a field inspection of the supporting documents of each locality.

According to the report, by April 20, 2025, the town had started and completed 149 houses with a total cost of nearly 9 billion VND. Of which, policy households implemented 46/47 houses (15 new houses, 31 repaired houses), with a total cost of more than 2.6 billion VND. Poor and near-poor households implemented 103/104 houses (87 new houses, 16 repaired houses), with a total cost of more than 6.3 billion VND. 2 households did not receive support due to their own circumstances.

The Steering Committee of the town and localities also shared good models in mobilizing resources to effectively implement the program.

The monitoring team checked the supporting documents and conducted a survey of some houses in Long Son ward. Thereby, it acknowledged the active participation of local authorities and Party committees; the houses ensured progress and quality, contributing to stabilizing people's lives, helping them settle down and develop the economy .
