National defense and security education is one of the key tasks.

(HGO) - On the morning of April 26, the Provincial Council for National Defense and SecurityEducation (GDQP&AN) held a conference to summarize 2023 and deploy directions and tasks for 2024. Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended.

In 2023, the National Defense and Security Education Council from the provincial to grassroots levels will continue to be consolidated and completed with sufficient numbers, reasonable composition, and operating in accordance with regulations and responsibilities. Members will perform well their advisory functions to help the councils at all levels direct, organize, and implement the tasks of agencies and units in accordance with the law.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presented Certificates of Merit to representatives of collectives and individuals.

Standing agencies of councils at all levels advise Party committees and authorities at the same level to effectively carry out the task of training knowledge on national defense and security for subjects according to regulations, reaching 105.4% of the annual plan. After being trained, cadres and party members have a deeper understanding of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on national defense and security, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the task of building and protecting the Fatherland with localities and units.

The Provincial Council for National Defense and Security Education also directed the Department of Education and Training to coordinate and implement well the training, fostering, coaching, and arrangement of National Defense and Security Education teachers. Up to now, basically all high schools in the province have enough teachers in charge, many schools have enough full-time teachers. Through the subject, students will grasp the basic content of the Party's military guidelines, the State's policies and laws on national defense and security, and the nation's fighting tradition, arousing patriotism and national pride.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of National Defense and Security Education in 2023.
