The investment environment in Hau Giang is increasingly open, creating the best conditions for businesses.
Strong bridge
In recent times, Hau Giang province has promoted its potential and advantages, developed in the right direction and has taken strong and drastic steps in all fields, with the spirit of "Innovation, breakthrough, determination, aspiration". From a province with low indicators in the region and the whole country, it now has many strong growth indicators, ranked in the top group of the Mekong Delta region and the high group of the whole country, namely: economic growth rate continuously increased; the period 2021-2024 increased by an average of 9.45% per year; the size of the economy increased nearly 2 times compared to the beginning of the term, from 37,570 billion VND to 68,643 billion VND; budget revenue increased by about 20% per year compared to the previous year, twice as much as at the beginning of the term; total social capital mobilized in the area increased rapidly (about 89,000 billion VND); GRDP per capita reached 93.78 million VND, nearly 2 times higher than at the beginning of the term; the poverty rate is lower than the national average. Notably, in 2023 and 2024, Hau Giang is honored to be in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest PCI index in the country (ranked 9th in 2023, 7th in 2024).
Continuing the success, in the first 6 months of 2025, the socio-economic situation in the province continued to have positive changes and achieved important results such as: GRDP economic growth rate reached 10.95%, average income per capita reached over 106 million VND; budget revenue in the area reached over 3,210 billion VND, reaching 51.4% of the Central estimate and reaching 38.7% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council; total social investment capital in the area reached 13,820 billion VND, an increase of 13.19% over the same period.
In the 2020-2025 term, the Provincial Business Association gathered over 200 members; performed well the function of representing the business community, synthesizing difficulties and obstacles in the process of production and business activities in the province to propose to competent authorities to resolve and remove them, in accordance with the province's motto: "The success of enterprises is the achievement of the province".
Successfully coordinate and organize activities related to businesses such as: Meeting to celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day; participate in dialogues with businesses organized by the Provincial People's Committee; Business Coffee program. Through the program, it aims to shorten the gap between businesses and provincial leaders, helping businesses to be more open in sharing existing difficulties and problems. In addition, actively mobilize members to participate in movements to contribute to local economic development and social security.
Overcoming difficulties with businesses
Mr. Nguyen Bich Ha Nguyen, Project Development Director of Masan Group, said that the relationship between Masan and Hau Giang is not new but has existed for about 10 years with the first project being a beer factory in Song Hau Industrial Park, then the Foods Project. Masan's development has the support of Hau Giang and vice versa, the developing enterprise will solve the problem of jobs and contribute to the provincial budget.
Mr. Pham Tien Hoai, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, said that in recent years, the business community operating in the province has affirmed its leading role in economic development, contributing to the local budget, and some industries and products have dominated the world market. The Business Association acts as a bridge between provincial leaders and businesses, between businesses and businesses, connecting trade promotion inside and outside the province, and is a center to support issues related to the production and business activities of the business community. In recent years, the Business Association has had very practical activities to support businesses.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that in the province's overall achievements, there is a very important contribution from the business community in the province, especially the role of the Provincial Business Association, acting as a "bridge" between the provincial government and businesses.
Hau Giang identifies "Enterprises come, Hau Giang is happy", "The success of enterprises is the achievement of the province". Thereby, many solutions, policies and strategies have been implemented to improve the investment and business environment, administrative reform, enhance competitiveness, and create favorable conditions for enterprises to develop. Thanks to that, enterprises in Hau Giang have developed in both quantity and quality; the scale and fields of operation of enterprises have changed in line with the economic restructuring of the province; the operational efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises have been constantly improved. Up to now, the whole province has 4,850 enterprises, with a total registered capital of over 74 trillion VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, from July 1, 2025, the new Can Tho city will officially operate - opening a new development phase with greater space, vision and expectations. In that context, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa suggested that the Provincial Business Association should coordinate with the Business Association of Can Tho City and Soc Trang Province to establish a larger-scale association of the new Can Tho city. Promote the spirit of democracy, solidarity, build specific goals and tasks of the association in each stage of operation. Strengthen advocacy work and promote the spirit of self-reliance, career establishment, creative start-up... Further enhance the role of "bridge" between local authorities and domestic and foreign enterprises...
Actively carry out the association's common activities; strengthen connections with business associations in the region as well as nationwide. Continue to build the association into a strong organization, becoming a common home for the business community. Actively build a strong team of entrepreneurs, with enough capacity and qualifications to manage and operate businesses, both dedicated and visionary...
Promote propaganda and mobilize members and enterprises to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies, and the province's socio-economic development orientations and programs. Coordinate to guide and mobilize enterprises to promote the building and development of Party organizations and unions in enterprises; strengthen the bond between entrepreneurs and workers...
“I believe that, with the existing foundation, together with consensus and joint efforts, the Provincial Business Association and the business community will continue to accompany the government, develop more strongly in the new period - making worthy contributions to the development of the new Can Tho city”, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa emphasized.
