Floods have damaged more than 2,300 hectares of crops (rice, corn, vegetables, fruit trees, mulberry...) in Lao Cai province.

At the inspection points, the Deputy Director of the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection requested localities to focus on clearing the flow, harvesting ripe rice early, rebuilding fallen areas; pruning and caring for perennial plants and vegetables; and at the same time, sending officers to closely monitor the fields, preventing pests and diseases after storms, especially brown planthoppers, leaf blight, and brown spot.

Besides, it is necessary to proactively change the crop structure appropriately, considering the winter crop as the main production crop to compensate for the losses of the summer-autumn and summer-autumn crops, ensuring the supply of agricultural products for the market and income for people.
