Meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, with the attention of Party committees, authorities, and mass organizations, many philanthropists have paid attention and organized many meaningful activities, giving gifts to children in difficult circumstances. The gifts not only bring joy to the "Full Moon Festival" but also demonstrate the concern of the whole society for the future generation, giving them more motivation to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies and life.

* At Trung Chai Kindergarten

On the afternoon of October 3, in the bustling atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Red Cross Volunteer Club of Lao Cai Province, along with many philanthropists, coordinated with Ta Phin Commune Police and Trung Chai Kindergarten to organize the "Moon of Love 2025" festival for students.

At the festival, 500 warm coats, 500 pairs of sandals, 500 candies, 11 scholarships and many other meaningful gifts were given to children at 8 Trung Chai kindergartens, with a total value of more than 70 million VND.

At the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital

On October 3, Lao Cai Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital organized the program "Moon of Love", bringing joy and a warm Mid-Autumn Festival full of love to children being treated at the hospital.

Leaders of the Department of Health and representatives of the Child Care and Protection Board were present to visit, encourage and present 20 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, along with gifts and cakes to children in especially difficult circumstances.

Children received many Mid-Autumn Festival gifts from organizations, clubs, and philanthropists.

At the program, 160 gifts including candy, toys and practical items, total value of 25 million VND and 60 gifts (in cash) worth 12 million VND were given to children being treated at the hospital.

Children are especially excited about the colorful balloon gift.

The program not only brings spiritual joy to sick children on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival, but also shows the deep concern of the community, organizations and kind individuals for disadvantaged children in life. Each gift is a word of encouragement to the children and their relatives to have more motivation to overcome difficulties.

At Mu Cang Chai Regional Medical Center

The union officer in charge of the Mu Cang Chai area presented gifts to disadvantaged children being treated at the Mu Cang Chai Regional Medical Center.

On the morning of October 3, the department in charge of the grassroots trade union in Mu Cang Chai area coordinated with the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Mu Cang Chai commune, Mu Cang Chai Regional Medical Center to visit and present 14 gifts worth more than 3 million VND to poor and disadvantaged pediatric patients being treated at the Medical Center.

Although each gift is not of great material value, it has a deep spiritual meaning, encouraging the children to maintain an optimistic spirit during the treatment process. Along with giving gifts, the children also participated in festivals, played games, and carried Mid-Autumn lanterns, creating a warm and laughter-filled atmosphere.

The activities in the program brought a joyful atmosphere, helping the children temporarily forget the pain and fatigue caused by illness and enjoy a full Mid-Autumn Festival.

The program also demonstrates the community's concern and sharing, strengthens the connection between doctors, medical staff and organizations with patients, thereby affirming social responsibility in taking care of children's health in mountainous areas.

On October 3, leaders of Bao Yen commune visited and gave Mid-Autumn gifts to children being treated at Bao Yen Regional General Hospital.

The working group went directly to the departments and hospital rooms to give 40 gifts from Bao Yen commune to the children. Here, the commune leaders kindly asked about the health status, encouraged the children and shared with their families, hoping that they would recover soon.

Although the gifts are small, they contain the affection and care of the local Party Committee and government, contributing to encouraging the children to overcome their illnesses and be discharged from the hospital soon to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 in a warm and joyful atmosphere with their families.

Trade unions at all levels organize many activities on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival.

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025, the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels to organize activities to take care of children of union members and workers based on actual conditions.

This is a meaningful annual activity of the trade union organization to bring joy to the Mid-Autumn Festival for children of union members, workers and local children.

On this occasion, trade unions at all levels and accompanying and sponsoring units also awarded hundreds of scholarships to children of union members and workers, especially those in difficult circumstances, children of union members and workers suffering from occupational diseases, work accidents, serious illnesses, etc.

Through the above activities, the attention and companionship of the trade union organization in caring for union members and workers and encouraging children to continue to study, practice well and improve in life has been affirmed.

Lao Cai Provincial Child Protection Steering Committee presented 268 gifts to children on the occasion of Mid-Autumn Festival.

The Lao Cai Provincial Steering Committee for Child Protection (standing agency of the Department of Health) organized working delegations to visit and give gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances in the province on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025.

Specifically, the Steering Committee established working groups to visit and present Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances, with good academic achievements at school, in the communes of Trinh Tuong, Muong Hum, Ta Cu Ty, Phong Hai, Lung Cai, Cam Nhan, Viet Hong, Luc Yen; visit and present gifts to children in especially difficult circumstances with serious illnesses, terminal illnesses who are receiving long-term inpatient treatment at General Hospital No. 1, Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital and Rehabilitation Hospital of Lao Cai province.

Along with that, visit and give gifts to children in special circumstances being raised at the Provincial Center for Social Work and Social Protection, facilities 1 and 2.

The delegation visited and presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts at the Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital and the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital.

At the destinations, the delegations presented 268 gifts, each worth 1 million VND in cash along with other practical gifts. The total cost of the program was 284 million VND, drawn from the Lao Cai Provincial Children's Fund and the Vietnam Children's Fund.

This is an activity to enhance the responsibility of authorities at all levels, sectors and localities and mobilize the entire population to participate in protecting and caring for children; pay attention to and look after the material and spiritual life of children on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, especially ethnic minority children, children in special circumstances, children with serious illnesses being treated at medical facilities.
