Exchange and launch of the poetry collection "White clouds of mother's hair"

At 9:30 a.m. on April 13, Kim Dong Publishing House will organize an introduction and exchange session "Mother's White Hair and Clouds: Opening the Book Pages - Touching Poetry Rhymes" at Kim Dong Publishing House Headquarters (No. 55, Quang Trung Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi). The program celebrates Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day with the direct participation of author - poet Truong Anh Tu.

Author Truong Anh Tu has been writing poetry and composing music since the 90s of the last century. He has many works that have been introduced to readers at home and abroad, is a familiar name in the Vietnamese literary world, and is one of the overseas authors whose poems have been published the most in newspapers and magazines in Vietnam.

Although living and working abroad, the name of poet Truong Anh Tu is quite familiar to domestic readers.

When talking about his works, poet Truong Anh Tu once shared: “I never intended to write a poem for children or adults. When writing poetry, in front of me is only a page of paper. My readers can be a child, a young person, a middle-aged person or an elderly person… What is important is that through a poem I can express my emotions and thoughts. I am very happy that many of my poems reach readers of all ages. And I believe that readers of all ages can find meaning, joy, and messages in those poems depending on each person's language ability and perception.”

Perhaps thanks to that, each poem in the collection Mother's White Clouds and Hair is close to all ages, it is the simple yet subtle feelings about all things around through the poetic eyes of Truong Anh Tu. The images appearing in his poems are familiar, pure and full of love.

That is the image of a mother cherishing her baby - as if cherishing her precious world , in the poem Dream of Happiness :

“ Mother carries her child on her shoulder
the earth carries a drop of dew
Dewdrops in the Sun
perched on mother's back .

Or the familiar winter image of the homeland in the poem Winter Tree :

" The tree is silent and sleeping
listen to the soul deep underground
through the seasons of falling leaves
still blue sky above!

With beautiful lyrics, Mother's White Clouds and Hair is further breathed into life by the soaring illustrations of young artist Quyen Thai. Known for her dreamy drawing style and bright, warm colors, Quyen Thai's drawings perfectly convey the feelings of love and attachment to people, life, nature and homeland in each poem.

At the program, some special poems by poet Truong Anh Tu with illustrations by artist Quyen Thai will also be displayed on this occasion.
