The spring opening program featured artistic performances such as "Spring Offering to the Party," "Spring Song," "Spring Flowers," "Spring Chorus," and "Coming to Dien Bien, My Homeland"... The cheerful songs, dances, and praises of the homeland and country in spring created a joyful and vibrant atmosphere for the first day of the new year.
Alongside this, the locals enthusiastically participated in folk games and traditional sports , including: throwing pa pao, tossing the ball, tug-of-war, and basketball. The games were organized using methods such as interactive performances (pa pao), single-round scoring (tossing the ball), or knockout competitions (tug-of-war), and group stage/round-robin tournaments (basketball). There were 55 teams with over 300 athletes participating. The event also attracted many tourists who came to enjoy the activities, experience the atmosphere, and cheer on the teams.
The activities aim to create an atmosphere of excitement and joy, thereby motivating and encouraging the patriotic emulation movement, labor and production, actively building and defending the Fatherland, and resolutely achieving the goals and tasks of the 14th Provincial Party Congress Resolution and the objectives and tasks for 2024. At the same time, they are geared towards celebrating major holidays of the province and the country in 2024.
