On May 25, 2026, the Party Branch of Duc Tan High School (Tan Minh commune, Lam Dong province) held a ceremony to admit 7 new Party members who are 12th-grade students. This is considered a special milestone for the school in its Party development work within the school sector.

Among the newly admitted young party members is Tran Van Phuong Nguyen (born in 2008), a student in class 12A1. For Phuong Nguyen, joining the Party while still in school is a great honor and also a motivation to continue striving in the future.

In recent years, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of Duc Tan High School have consistently identified the development of Party membership among students as one of the key tasks in Party building at the school. In this regard, the school's Youth Union plays a core role in identifying and recommending outstanding members to the Party branch for consideration and training.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Party Branch and Vice Principal of Duc Tan High School, said that developing the Party among students is not simply about meeting quantitative targets. The school's Party Branch's determination to recruit up to 10 student Party members in grade 12 this school year, far exceeding the target set by the higher-level Party Committee, is not just an achievement in terms of quantity. More importantly, through the work of developing the Party among students, the school has created a widespread movement of academic competition and ideological training.

To concretize the Resolution of the Party Branch Congress for the 2025-2030 term and closely follow Decision No. 238 of the Tan Minh Commune Party Committee on assigning targets for admitting student party members in 2026, the Duc Tan High School Party Branch has proactively developed a plan to create a pool of potential members early on.

In addition to the seven students who were recently admitted, the school is currently finalizing the applications for three more outstanding Youth Union members. According to the Party branch's assessment, the admission of students into the Party has created a positive ripple effect throughout the school, giving many Youth Union members more motivation to study, train, and strive for excellence.

Recognizing that the Youth Union is the closest environment for educating students on revolutionary ideals, ethics, and life skills, the Youth Union of Duc Tan High School has continuously innovated its content and methods of operation over the past period.

Besides traditional activities, the school's Youth Union focuses on organizing practical experience activities such as "back to the roots," visiting historical sites, charitable activities, and youth volunteer movements. Through these activities, students gain a better understanding of the nation's revolutionary traditions and enhance their sense of responsibility to the community. According to the Executive Committee of the school's Youth Union, educating members about ideals should not be limited to theory but should be linked to practice, creating opportunities for students to experience, contribute, and grow.

According to Mr. Doan Minh Tam, Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union, in implementing the directives of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has coordinated with the Education sector to promote the development of Party members among students through various specific solutions. In particular, the Youth Union at all levels has focused on strengthening revolutionary tradition education, raising awareness among Youth Union members and young people about the position and significance of Party development work; and simultaneously innovating the content and methods of Youth Union activities to attract students to participate in movements and create a practical training environment for outstanding Youth Union members.

In addition, Youth Union branches proactively review and identify eligible students from grades 10 to 12 for monitoring and training; and coordinate with families and schools to create conditions for them to participate in Party awareness classes.
