Today (April 7) - the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month is the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day. The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day has become a cultural beauty in the Vietnamese people's consciousness.

The procession of palanquins from the surrounding communes, wards, and towns arrives at the Hung Temple National Special Historical Site.

The folk verse, "No matter where one goes, remember the Ancestor Commemoration Day on the tenth day of the third lunar month," has been deeply ingrained in the consciousness of every Vietnamese person for generations.

The Hung Kings worship tradition of our nation has transcended national boundaries to become a shared cultural heritage of all humanity. This is the first Vietnamese heritage to be honored in the religious belief category.

According to legend, Hung Vuong was the son of Lac Long Quan (of the Dragon lineage) and Au Co (of the Fairy lineage), who founded the Van Lang state; he also taught farming and rice cultivation, bestowed spiritual energy upon the land, houses, plants, and animals, ensuring abundant harvests.

To express gratitude to their ancestors, for thousands of years, the Vietnamese people have celebrated the Hung Kings Commemoration Day on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month every year at the Hung Kings Temple historical site in Phu Tho province and at thousands of other temples throughout Vietnam. The Hung Kings Commemoration Day has become a beautiful cultural tradition in the hearts of the Vietnamese people.

To this day, the Hung Kings worship tradition has become a cultural and religious symbol, connecting the past with the present, creating a tradition of unity, love, and mutual support, fostering affection for family, village, and nation.

As of yesterday afternoon (April 6th), over 2 million visitors had come to Hung Temple to offer incense. This number is expected to be even higher on the main day of the Hung Temple Commemoration, the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month, according to the Hung Temple Historical Relic Management Board.

The paths leading to the temples in the Hung Temple historical site are frequently crowded. Security forces are stationed to manage traffic flow and guide people to perform rituals, ensuring safety and security.

Many cultural, sports , and tourism activities within the framework of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day - Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025 have been and are taking place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of people and tourists.
