The 2026 National Young Singers Competition is organized by the Vietnam Institute for Educational and Cultural Development with professional support from the Department of Performing Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The organizers stated that the competition is a nationwide art platform for students and young people aged 6 to 25 who love to sing.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Head of the Organizing Committee of the competition - shared that the National Young Singers Competition 2026 is not simply a singing competition, but also a long-term journey to discover, nurture, and elevate young vocal talents of various ages across the country.

"The most important thing is not just finding a champion, but also creating a journey of growth, helping young people live positively, confidently, and spread good values," he emphasized.
The organizers stated that the entire selection and judging process will be conducted with criteria that prioritize transparency, vocal ability, artistic vision, and the long-term development potential of the contestants.
The online preliminary round on the TikTok platform took place from May 29th to August 31st, requiring contestants to sing 100% acoustically, without sound editing or technical manipulation, to ensure authenticity and fairness.
Regarding the requirement to sing acoustically in the preliminary round, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan - Head of the Organizing Committee - stated that the increasing development of technology is affecting music as well. Now there is even AI music, which is why the organizing committee requires contestants to sing acoustically to create fairness for all contestants right from the first round.
The competition is also divided into categories based on age and musical genre to ensure fairness.
Mr. Tuan also pledged that the organizing committee would support contestants from remote areas with musical and professional services. The artists also shared advice with the contestants on preparation and performance in the competition.
Following the preliminary round, outstanding contestants will advance to the semi-finals held live in three regions: Hanoi , Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, before competing in the national final and awards gala, scheduled to take place in December in Hanoi.
