As the owner of Bui Cafe ( Ha Tinh City), Mr. Tran Xuan Vu has organized many live music nights with the appearance of famous singers. Ha Tinh Newspaper sends readers a conversation with him about the concerns and difficulties when organizing music nights.

- Hello Vu, congratulations on your successful concert of two famous singers Giao Linh - Tuan Vu, before that many other famous faces. Why did your cafe Bui choose this method?
- Actually, this is a plan I have cherished for a long time, even before the Ha Tinh Beach Club that I implemented in Thien Cam Tourist Area. I am an idealistic businessman. To be honest, Ha Tinh is not a fertile land for this form of business, but along with the goal of making a profit, I still want to create a breeze in the spiritual life of the people of my hometown. 2 years ago, when I returned from Vung Tau, I stayed at a hotel in Ha Tinh City for 3 months just to learn about the cultural life of the people, to see what they were "hungry" for, what they needed...
Live singing nights at Bui Cafe are attracting more and more audiences.
- And that is music ?
- Actually, music is only a part. I have also observed and seen that in the area, there are people who open tea rooms and live music cafes but they do not last long. I do not judge their way of doing things but I decided to choose a different path - that is live singing, meaning the singer has to sing directly on stage in front of the audience so that they can evaluate the voice quality, vocal technique and performance style. That is exactly what the audience in Ha Tinh is lacking and waiting for. And Bui ca phe - a component in my chain of business models is the place to realize that idea.

- Until now, after many concerts of famous singers, the audience still wonders why you were able to invite such characters to perform in Ha Tinh, even though Bui Ca Phe is not yet known by many people?
- Singing live is not something that every singer can do. To sing live, the singer must possess many factors, first of all, voice quality, vocal technique, stage improvisation, communication skills... And most of them are big stars in the music market.
To invite famous singers like Giao Linh, Tuan Vu, Randy, Viky Nhung, Phuong Phuong Thao... and now Dam Vinh Hung, budget alone is not enough. The reason I invited them is because I have a good relationship with the singers themselves or their managers, music producers from before.
Although I set a profit target, I have still had to make up for a lot of losses up to now. However, I have a bigger goal, which is to build a brand for Bui Ca Phe. In the future, I want to withdraw from the role of organizer, I want Bui Ca Phe to become a name that many artists come to organize their concerts with fans, at that time, I will only rent the venue. Therefore, I always set a goal of inviting famous singers, being recognized by them for the quality of the stage as well as the sound, lighting and reception culture of the audience.

- After so many concerts, what is the biggest difficulty you have encountered?
- There are many difficulties, but what worries me the most is the quality and stability of the band. For live singers as well as the nature of a live night, that is very important. I also understand that it is very difficult to find a stable band in the Ha Tinh market because of the intermittent nature of performing arts activities and I have also tried to connect, tried to create relationships to be able to build a "satellite" around me to ensure the highest stability, the best possible quality for live nights.

- I have observed and attended some of your concerts and I honestly feel that you have not been successful in terms of profit. Have you ever worried that you will fail?
- Actually, it is necessary to determine the goals of each stage to evaluate success or failure. Although my goal is profit, in the first stage, I still do not put that goal first. My biggest goal in this stage is to create more cultural living space for Ha Tinh people, to create for them the habit of enjoying music for a fee. It must be a truly emotional music party with real voices, real bands, not lip-syncing or singing to the beat.
The increasingly sophisticated investment in stage, sound and lighting is also one of the attractive conditions for singers when Bui Ca Phe invites them to perform.
- After many shows, how do you and the singers feel about the Ha Tinh audience?
- Ha Tinh audiences love music very much, but perhaps due to their personality, they are still shy when meeting their favorite singers, not ready for interaction situations, and have not expressed their love for their idols through actions. That also affects the "explosiveness" of the singers, causing their emotions to be somewhat "shrinking". I hope that the live singing nights will gradually create new habits for Ha Tinh audiences, helping them to be more open and enthusiastic in the following music nights.
- Can you share more with Ha Tinh Newspaper readers about the upcoming steps?
- After the research and experimentation process, I plan to organize more music nights in the winter, trying to invite more famous singers, maybe trendy singers or names associated with the memories of many people. Next is the music night of Dam Vinh Hung, on New Year's Eve it is expected to be Dan Truong... I hope that, with the perfection of the stage, sound, light, and quality of the band, the singers will bring the audience special "musical parties".
