
On the morning of October 24th, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee organized a ceremony to offer incense in commemoration of the 320th anniversary of the birth of Hoang Giap Vu Diem (1705 – 2025).
Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Van Ky, leaders of provincial and local departments and agencies.

Vu Diem (also known as Vo Diem in some documents), born in 1705 in Tho Vuong village (Thien Loc district), now Can Loc commune, came from a family with a tradition of scholarly achievements. Vu Diem was a man of vast learning and great ambition, passing the Imperial Examination in the Ky Vi year, the 5th year of the Vinh Huu reign (1739) of King Le Y Tong; he held many important positions in the court, using his talent and virtue to serve the nation, bring peace to the people, and help society, leaving behind a shining example of the intellect, integrity, and character of a patriotic scholar.
For over three centuries, the name and career of the scholar Vu Diem have been recorded in history books and passed down through generations, serving as a source of pride and a beautiful symbol of the studious spirit, loyalty, integrity, and devotion to the country of the people of Ha Tinh .


Before the ancestral spirits, the delegation lit incense sticks and offered gifts to express their respect and gratitude to the renowned scholar Vu Diem - a brilliant and outstanding son of Can Loc homeland.
Building upon the tradition of studiousness, patriotism, and revolutionary spirit of our ancestors, especially the exemplary integrity, honesty, and unwavering loyalty to the nation and devotion to the people of the scholar Vu Diem, the Party Committee and people of Ha Tinh are determined to strive to build a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland, firmly entering a new era - the era of integration and development.
