On the morning of October 24, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 320th anniversary of the birth of Hoang Giap Vu Diem (1705 - 2025).

Hoang Giap Vu Diem (some documents record Vo Diem), was born in 1705 in Tho Vuong village (Thien Loc district), now Can Loc commune, in a family with a tradition of mandarin examinations. Vu Diem was a man of great learning and ambition, passing the Hoang Giap exam in Ky Vi, Vinh Huu year 5 (1739) under King Le Y Tong; he held many important positions in the royal court, bringing his talent and virtue to serve the country, pacify the people, help the world, leaving behind a shining example of intelligence, integrity and personality of a patriotic scholar.

After more than 3 centuries, the name and career of Hoang Giap Vu Diem are still recorded in history books, passed down among the people, and are a source of pride and a noble symbol of the spirit of studiousness, loyalty, integrity and devotion to the country of the people of Ha Tinh .
