Competition is the driving force for development and the strength of unity.

In his opening remarks at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nguyen Dinh Khang, stated: During the 2020-2025 period, the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide has seen many innovations and creative approaches, closely adhering to the political tasks of each sector and locality. Many movements have yielded practical results and have been recognized by society, such as: "Excellent Workers, Creative Workers," "Excellent Advisors, Good Service," "Good at National Affairs, Good at Family Affairs," and the "Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring Occupational Safety and Health" movement...
From these movements, thousands of initiatives and technical innovations have been applied, bringing in hundreds of billions of dong in benefits; especially 75,000 initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop, and 1 million initiatives demonstrating efforts to overcome difficulties and creativity in the determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic.
On key national projects, such as the 500 kV triple-circuit transmission line from Quang Binh (formerly) to Hung Yen and the 500 kV transmission line from Phu Tho to Lao Cai, and many other key projects, with the spirit of emulation for the Fatherland and service to the people, workers and employees have overcome the sun, rain, and storms, making important contributions to ensuring the progress and quality of key national projects.
During the program, the Organizing Committee commended and honored 37 collectives and 43 individuals as outstanding exemplary models in the nationwide emulation movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the period 2020-2025.

The outstanding individuals honored at the ceremony came from various fields: industrial production, education, healthcare, public administration, grassroots trade unions, and the business sector.
Notably, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SEV) – one of the awarded organizations – is not only a leading enterprise in the production of electronic devices but also a shining example in building a culture of creativity and innovation. The "Excellent Worker - Creative Worker" movement at SEV has become a source of inspiration, pride, and a "spiritual glue" that has united the team of workers, engineers, and staff for many years.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Lai Hoang Dung - Chairman of the SEV Bac Ninh grassroots trade union - affirmed: "Creativity only truly flourishes when workers are inspired, trusted to experiment, recognized transparently, and rewarded promptly."
According to Mr. Lai Hoang Dung, for the patriotic emulation movement to truly spread widely, businesses need to focus on two core elements: fostering a spirit of creativity in each employee and building a comprehensive, sustainable emulation model that puts employees at the center.
At Samsung Electronics Vietnam, the spirit of innovation is nurtured through the SMART Movement – with the philosophy of “3 Up: Elevate - Breakthrough - Reach Further”. This is not just a slogan for competition but a human resource development strategy, aiming for a model of employees who “dare to think - dare to act - dare to innovate”.
As a result, tens of thousands of ideas, both small and large, have been encouraged, implemented, and yielded practical value: increasing productivity, improving the working environment, optimizing production processes, and contributing to strengthening SEV's position in Samsung Group's global value chain.
Meanwhile, the Hai Duong Health Sector Trade Union is a prime example of the spirit of "unity, creativity, and overcoming difficulties" during the Covid-19 pandemic. They both cared for the lives of healthcare workers and mobilized resources to support the frontline fight against the pandemic, contributing to spreading the humanitarian spirit of the trade union organization.

For miner Pham Dinh Duan, a 5/5 grade worker in Mining Workshop 14, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin (Vietnam Coal and Mineral Workers' Union), success begins with the smallest things. From arranging tools for easy operation, meticulously checking each support frame and each section of the mine, to coordinating smoothly between main and assistant miners, Mr. Duan performs everything with a sense of responsibility and love for his profession... Thanks to this, his production team has had no accidents or equipment failures for 10 consecutive years, always exceeding targets by 20-30%, and the lives and incomes of the workers have improved significantly. From practical production experience, many of his initiatives and technical improvements have brought hundreds of millions of dong in profit each year.
Emulation is patriotism - and exemplary models are the core element in spreading this spirit.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Do Van Chien, extended his congratulations to the outstanding collectives and individuals. He emphasized: “Emulation is patriotism, and patriotism requires emulation. I hope and believe that the exemplary individuals and groups honored today will be the nucleus for spreading the spirit of emulation and the aspiration to contribute, helping to build a modern and strong working class that meets the development requirements of the country in the new era.”
Comrade Do Van Chien stated that our country is entering a new era of building a strong, prosperous, thriving, civilized, and happy nation. The entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are striving to achieve the goals of commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, with our country becoming a developed nation with modern industry and a high-middle income; and becoming a developed nation with a high income on the 100th anniversary of the nation's founding.
To achieve that goal, it is necessary to make breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and national digital transformation; to implement strategic breakthroughs synchronously; to promote the strength of national unity; and to strongly awaken the aspirations of the Vietnamese people.
In that spirit, Comrade Do Van Chien suggested that trade union organizations further promote the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers, with innovation as the driving force, digital transformation as the method, labor productivity as the measure, and improved living standards and sustainable employment as the goal.
At the same time, trade unions must proactively take the lead in responding to patriotic emulation movements, in accordance with the practical situation of the trade union organization, especially movements associated with digital transformation, innovation, human resource development, greening production and improving labor productivity; launching emulation campaigns must go hand in hand with summarizing and rewarding organizations and individuals who achieve outstanding results.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Nguyen Dinh Khang, also launched the emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide for the period 2025-2030 with the theme "Emulating innovation, digital transformation, improving labor productivity, confidently joining the country in entering a new era".
