Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said: In the period of 2020-2025, the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants and laborers nationwide has had many innovations and creativity, closely following the political tasks of each industry and locality. Many movements have brought practical results, recognized by society, typically: "Good worker, Creative worker" , "Good consultant, good service" , "Good at state work, good at housework" , or the movement "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"...

From those movements, thousands of initiatives and technical improvements were applied, bringing in hundreds of billions of VND in benefits; especially 75,000 initiatives to overcome difficulties and develop and 1 million initiatives to overcome difficulties and be creative in their determination to win the Covid-19 pandemic.

On key national projects, typically the 500 kV third-circuit line project from Quang Binh (old) to Hung Yen and the 500 kV line from Phu Tho to Lao Cai and many other key projects, with the spirit of emulation for the Fatherland and service for the people, workers and civil servants have overcome the sun, rain, and storms, making an important contribution to ensuring the progress and quality of key national projects.

During the program, the Organizing Committee commended and honored 37 collectives and 43 individuals who are outstanding examples in the emulation movement of workers, civil servants and laborers nationwide in the period 2020-2025.

The advanced models honored at the ceremony come from many fields: Industrial production, education, healthcare, public administration, grassroots trade unions and the business sector.

Notably, Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (SEV) - one of the awarded collectives is not only a leading enterprise in the production of electronic equipment but also a bright spot in building a culture of creativity and innovation. The movement "Good workers - Creative workers" at SEV has become a source of inspiration, pride and "spiritual glue" connecting the team of workers, engineers and staff over the past many years.

Sharing at the Congress, Mr. Lai Hoang Dung - Chairman of SEV Bac Ninh Trade Union affirmed: "Creativity only truly explodes when workers are inspired, trusted to experiment, transparently recognized and promptly rewarded."

According to Mr. Lai Hoang Dung, in order for the patriotic emulation movement to truly spread widely, businesses need to focus on two core factors: Arousing the creative spirit in each worker and building a comprehensive, sustainable emulation model, with workers as the center.

At Samsung Electronics Vietnam, the spirit of creativity is nurtured through the SMART Movement - with the philosophy of "3 Up: Upgrade - Breakthrough - Reach Far". This is not only a competitive slogan but also a human development strategy, aiming at the model of workers who "dare to think - dare to do - dare to innovate".

Thanks to that, tens of thousands of ideas, whether small or large, have been encouraged, applied and brought practical value: increasing productivity, improving the working environment, optimizing production processes and contributing to strengthening SEV's position in the global value chain of Samsung Group.

The Hai Duong Health Sector Trade Union is a typical example of the spirit of “solidarity, creativity, and overcoming difficulties” during the Covid-19 pandemic. They not only take care of the lives of medical staff but also mobilize resources to support the frontline in fighting the epidemic, contributing to spreading the humane spirit of the trade union organization.

For miner Pham Dinh Duan, level 5/5 worker, Mining Workshop 14, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vinacomin (Vietnam Coal - Minerals Trade Union), success starts from the smallest things. From arranging tools for convenient operation, carefully checking each support, each section of the furnace to coordinating smoothly between the main worker and the assistant worker, Mr. Duan performs everything with a sense of responsibility and love for the job... Thanks to that, his production team has not had any accidents or equipment failures for 10 consecutive years, always exceeding the plan by 20-30%, the life and income of workers are increasingly improved. From production practice, many of his initiatives and technical improvements have brought about efficiency, making hundreds of millions of dong a year in profit.

Emulation is patriotism - typical is the core of spreading

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien congratulated the outstanding collectives and individuals. He emphasized: “Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation. I hope and believe that the advanced models honored today will be the nucleus to spread the spirit of emulation and the desire to contribute, contributing to building a modern and strong working class, meeting the development requirements of the country in the new period”.

Comrade Do Van Chien said that our country is entering a new era of building a strong, prosperous, civilized, and happy country. The entire Party, people, and army are striving to achieve the goal of celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, our country becoming a developed country with modern industry and high average income; 100 years of our country becoming a developed country with high income.

To achieve that goal, it is necessary to make breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; synchronously deploy strategic breakthroughs; promote the strength of great national unity; and strongly arouse the aspiration of the Vietnamese people.

In that spirit, comrade Do Van Chien suggested that the trade union organization further promote the patriotic emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers, with the spirit of innovation as the driving force, digital transformation as the method, labor productivity as the measure, improved living standards, and sustainable employment as the goal.

At the same time, trade union organizations must proactively pioneer and take the lead in responding to patriotic emulation movements, in accordance with the practical situation of trade union organizations, especially movements associated with digital transformation, innovation, human resource development, greening production and improving labor productivity; launching emulation must go hand in hand with summarizing and rewarding organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements.

On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang also launched an emulation movement among workers, civil servants, and laborers nationwide for the period 2025-2030 with the theme "Competition for innovation, digital transformation, improving labor productivity, confidently entering a new era with the country".
