On the morning of October 26th, Naval Squadron 11, in coordination with the Bach Dang Border Guard Station (Trang Cat Border Guard Post, Hai Phong City Border Guard Command), organized a campaign to disseminate regulations on combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing to vessel owners and crew members at Mat Rong Fishing Port (Nam Trieu Ward).

Officers and soldiers from the two units boarded fishing boats anchored in the port to conduct awareness campaigns and distribute 125 leaflets and brochures to 15 boats.
The propaganda focused on the 2018 Vietnam Coast Guard Law, the 2017 Fisheries Law, and the dissemination of legal regulations and responsibilities in protecting aquatic resources. During the propaganda process, the two units presented 60 national flags to fishermen.

At sea, during their duties of combat readiness and patrol, inspection, control, and law enforcement, Coast Guard vessels 2007 (Squadron 112), 2008, and 9004 (Squadron 111, Brigade 11, Command of Coast Guard Region 1) organized the dissemination and education of laws to fishermen operating in the Bach Long Vi sea area and the Gulf of Tonkin.

The task force on board approached 32 fishing vessels with 212 fishermen, distributing over 250 leaflets promoting regulations on combating IUU (Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated) fishing. They also presented the fishing vessels with 65 national flags, 6 portraits of President Ho Chi Minh, and are ready to assist fishermen with food, fresh water, and machinery repairs when their vessels encounter problems at sea.
The awareness campaign has contributed to raising awareness and responsibility among fishermen, especially vessel owners and captains in the area, regarding legal regulations on combating IUU violations, and working with the political system to lift the European Commission's yellow card against Vietnam's fisheries sector.
