From 2025, the way to calculate high school graduation scores will change according to new regulations. The formula for calculating high school graduation scores will divide the weight 50-50 between graduation exam scores and academic results of all three years of high school.

Specifically, the high school graduation score consists of 3 components: total score of high school graduation exam subjects converted to a 10-point scale, average score of high school years, priority points and incentive points if any.

In the average score of the school years, the learning results of grade 10 are calculated with a coefficient of 1, the learning results of grade 11 are calculated with a coefficient of 2, and the learning results of grade 12 are calculated with a coefficient of 3.

The academic result of each year is the average score of all subjects evaluated by the scores of each school year, rounded to 2 decimal places.

The formula for calculating the average score (GPA) of high school years is as follows:

Average of each school year = [(Grade 10 average x 1) + (Grade 11 average x 2) + (Grade 12 average x 3)]/6

The formula for calculating high school graduation scores is as follows:

Increasing the rate of using transcripts from 30% to 50% is to more closely assess learners' abilities according to the 2018 GeneralEducation Program, including many other abilities that the graduation exam does not fully assess.

In addition, report cards from grades 10 and 11 are also used to promote teaching and learning right from when students enter high school.

Foreign language certificates will continue to be used for exam exemption in graduation recognition consideration but will not be converted into 10 points in graduation recognition consideration as before; the graduation score calculation formula does not include foreign language points in this case.
