And, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation (Resolution 57) is an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to gain more motivation to grow strongly.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu Thuy - Deputy Director of Chu Prong Rubber One Member Co., Ltd. - said: "The Company is currently managing and exploiting more than 6,600 hectares of rubber. In 2024, the Company's exploitation output will reach 8,500 tons; latex processing will reach more than 9,600 tons; consumption will reach over 8,490 tons. In 2025, the Company strives to exploit 9,350 tons, garden productivity will reach 1.64 tons/ha, and processing will reach 10,500 tons.
In order to successfully achieve production and business targets, the Company has proposed many solutions. In addition to diversifying products and adjusting product structure to suit market demand to achieve the highest selling price at each time, the Company also increases the application of scientific and technical advances, such as the product quality management system ISO 45001: 2018; environmental management system ISO 14001: 2015... to meet the requirements of the demanding market.
Similarly, to stand firm in the market, dynamism is necessary for small production facilities. Nguyen Han Coffee Farm (Duc Co district) has focused on diversifying products, applying new techniques in coffee processing and investing in equipment and machinery. At the same time, it has promoted online sales, actively introduced products on online channels and social networks to find markets.
Mr. Nguyen Van Han, owner of Nguyen Han Coffee Farm, shared: "Our facility is small, so if we do not take advantage of digital technology in business, our products will hardly be able to compete with products from large enterprises that have long-established brands."
Along with the proactive participation of enterprises in the fourth industrial revolution to integrate internationally, up to now, the proportion of digital economy in the province's GRDP accounts for 7.31%; 67.41% of small and medium enterprises use digital platforms; 8.15% of enterprises use electronic contracts; 100% of enterprises pay electronic taxes; 100% of supermarkets, shopping centers, electricity, water, telecommunications, and modern distribution facilities service providers accept cashless payments; 100% of organizations, enterprises, and business households use electronic invoices according to the declaration method.
Mr. Dinh Huu Hoa - Deputy Director of Gia Lai Department of Finance - said: Implementing the Law on Support for Small and Medium Enterprises, from 2022 to 2024, the province has supported small and medium enterprises from the central budget of 7.15 billion VND; 100% of records in the field of business registration are carried out on the National Portal on Business Registration for granting business registration certificates. Appraisal of public investment policies, approval of investment policies, 100% of project records are granted investment registration certificates on the foreign investment system...
Innovation is considered the main driving force of development. Accordingly, Resolution 57 is an opportunity for businesses, especially small and medium enterprises, to actively participate in the digital transformation process. Resolution 57 identifies: Growth based on science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation will create new space for development, in which businesses are the center, the subject, the resource and the main driving force.
Accordingly, Resolution 57 has paved the way and given businesses opportunities to improve their competitiveness, optimize resources in the digital age, and provide businesses with more breakthrough policies for sustainable development.
To implement Resolution 57, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 1472/KH-UBND on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation with many specific goals, such as: the contribution of the digital economy to the province's GRDP accounts for at least 30%; the rate of online public service use by people and businesses reaches over 80%; the rate of online payment on the National Public Service Portal over the total number of public service payment transactions is 80%. The technological level of enterprises is quite good compared to the Central Highlands region.
Attracting technology organizations and enterprises to invest in research and production in Gia Lai, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing and supporting industry enterprises. The province strives to have economic growth based on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation by 2045, striving for a digital economy scale of 50% of GRDP...
To achieve the above objectives, the Provincial People's Committee has set out key tasks and solutions. Among them, raising awareness, making breakthroughs in innovative thinking, determining strong political determination, resolutely leading and directing, creating new momentum and new spirit in the whole society in developing science and technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
Develop and make good use of high-quality human resources and talents; strongly promote science and technology activities, innovation and digital transformation in enterprises; strengthen international cooperation in science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.
