View the whole city from the church rooftop
From July 1, with the direct flight from Hanoi to Milan operated by Vietnam Airlines, in just about 12 hours of flight, Vietnamese passengers can set foot in Milan (Italy) - the largest economic, financial, fashion and creative center in Europe.
Piazza del Duomo in the evening. As the last rays of sunlight gilded the white marble of the Duomo di Milano, the square became magical and heart-wrenching. The facade of the church was like a giant stone lace, where patterns, statues and sculptures intertwined like a symphony of stone.
As soon as you set foot here, you can admire the magnificent beauty of the Duomo di Milano, a Gothic masterpiece that stands proudly under the sky. As one of the most complex and impressive cathedrals in Europe, the Duomo di Milano is a testament to the perseverance and meticulousness of talented human hands, taking more than 600 years to complete.
Churches often become the center of European cities not only because of their religious role but also because of their historical, cultural, artistic and architectural values, and are witnesses to important historical events. Churches always preserve many stories, legends and cultural heritages over hundreds of years, which has attracted tourists and held an important position in community life.

In Piazza del Duomo, there is a statue of the first king of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II. He ascended the throne in 1861, and in 1896 the statue was officially installed in the square. The statue depicts the king riding a horse on a marble pedestal leading his army into battle, next to a large lion. The reliefs clearly depict soldiers ready for battle.
Right next to the Duomo is Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II – Italy's oldest luxury shopping mall with an exquisite glass dome, home to the world's most luxurious fashion brands.
Stepping inside, many people find it difficult to leave the soaring vaulted ceiling, covered with glass and delicate iron frames, reflecting soft light like streaks of cloud in the blue sky. But if you lower your gaze to the floor, visitors will discover interesting stories through beautiful mosaics and especially the strange but fascinating tradition of placing the heel on the testicles of the Turin bull, an act that seems rude but has the meaning of good luck, like a small secret in the heart of the city.

The first time he set foot in Milan, Mr. Pham Ngoc Hai (Hanoi) was amazed by the overwhelming beauty of the Gothic architectural masterpieces with the church roof having thousands of statues and spires. From here, everyone has a wonderful view to see the whole view of Milan from above.
“When entering the largest church in Milan, the first impression is that this is a unique and magnificent architectural work with soaring marble columns, fine art statues and reliefs creating a sense of power. With stained glass windows illustrating stories from the Bible, the church welcomes sunlight to create a shimmering and magical space,” Mr. Hai shared.
According to a tour guide from Vietrantour Company - a travel agency that opens many tours to Europe, Vietnam Airlines' direct flights to Italy will help passengers and travel agencies have more options for travel options as well as build more reasonable tour schedules at tourist attractions in European countries.
