1. For the first time and also the only year, the High School Graduation Exam is organized according to two new GeneralEducation Programs (2018) and the old (2006) with two different sets of questions. This causes a lot of confusion and requires the team of exam officials to always be careful and have thorough preparation in mastering the rules.
Up to now, the relatively high difficulty of the exam questions in Math, English and to some extent Literature has caused many debates and mixed reactions in public opinion. Explaining this, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) said: The way of making the exam questions this year is new, so it is objective, practical, and avoids the situation of students learning by heart. The assessment of the MOET also shows the unified view of the education sector in the next roadmap, that the exam questions and the teaching and learning process are to assess the candidates' abilities, aiming to grasp and solve practical problems in life. This year is the first year to realize that process.
For candidates at Lam Dong Examination Council, the difficulty level of the exam is mostly only suitable for specialized students and students in large urban areas when they have early access to the exam codes, as well as being trained through exam preparation sessions by many experienced teachers. High school students in remote areas have little chance of achieving high scores.
2. As usual, similar to previous years, the attention of provincial and local leaders to the High School Graduation Exam always leaves many good impressions in the minds of the people. Comrade Tran Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Vo Ngoc Hiep; Nguyen Ngoc Phuc; Dinh Van Tuan have always paid attention and closely grasped the situation regarding the preparation for the exam very early.
Meetings with the Education sector and related units are continuously held when there are directives from the Government, as well as the Ministry of Education and Training, thereby promptly adjusting the plan to suit the local reality. Not only that, the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training also regularly issue documents and dispatches to best prepare for the exam.
The participation of the entire political system, as well as the encouragement and consensus of all classes of people, has helped the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Lam Dong become a festival, a place to spread the good traditional values of the Vietnamese people. The support of local authorities for disadvantaged students, ethnic minority students in remote areas, from water bottles to meals, pills to pens and erasers, all fully embody the meaning of sharing and caring.
In addition, the green shirts of the youth volunteers, the yellow shirts of police officers and soldiers, the orange shirts of engineers and electricity workers... are always present day and night at the examination sites, at crossroads and street corners to promptly help candidates get to the examination sites quickly, conveniently and safely. All of these have created a symphony of many joyful colors during the "literate candidates come to the capital to take the exam" season in Lam Dong.
3. There is one regrettable thing that cannot be ignored, which is the incident of a candidate at the Nam Ban High School Examination Site (Lam Ha District) bringing a phone and camera into the examination room to connect with outside subjects. The case has been prosecuted by the Criminal Police Department. This incident does not affect the overall graduation rate of the whole province. However, it is still a minus point, although it was promptly detected and closely monitored to prevent further cheating incidents.
We cannot deny all the efforts, hard work and endeavours of the whole province in the 2025 High School Graduation Exam that just took place by “a bad apple…”. The 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Lam Dong ended safely and left many good impressions. For nearly 10 years, Lam Dong has always been in the top 20 in terms of average scores as well as high graduation rates nationwide. That is the result, a long-term strategy to build a traditional education system, focusing on high quality of Lam Dong. The 2025 High School Graduation Exam season will certainly be a continuation.
