Thai golfer wins Vietnam Masters 2025, Nguyen Tuan Anh shines with the title of Best Amateur

After two consecutive rounds leading the Vietnam Masters 2025 rankings, Sarut Vongchaisit entered the final round with the confidence and mettle of a true champion.

He started explosively with 4 birdies in the first 9 holes, continued to maintain a steady pace with 2 birdies and only 1 bogey at hole 16, completing the round with 67 strokes (-5).

With a total score of (-18) after three rounds of 61 - 70 - 67 strokes, Vongchaisit convincingly won the Vietnam Masters 2025. This is the first professional title in the Thai golfer's career.

Closing a memorable week of competition, Vongchaisit left his mark with a series of new records set in the history of the tournament: Best round: 61 strokes (-11) in round 1; Best total score: -18; Most birdies in the week: 21 birdies; Most birdies in a round: 12 birdies (round 1).

Meanwhile, Nguyen Tuan Anh, the 2025 National Golf Champion, continued to make Vietnamese fans proud. Entering the final round, only 1 stroke behind Vongchaisit, Tuan Anh did not have a very favorable start in the first 9 holes, but made a strong breakthrough with 4 consecutive birdies from hole 13, completing the round with 68 strokes (-4).

With a total score of -16, Tuan Anh won the title of Best Amateur and finished in second place overall.

Although he has not been able to reach the highest podium, Nguyen Tuan Anh's performance at the Vietnam Masters 2025 is a clear demonstration of the maturity, bravery and great potential of the young generation of Vietnamese golfers.
