Anh Minh and Chuc An attend the World Amateur Golf Team Championship

TPO - With a squad of promising faces, the Vietnamese golf team is expected to deliver an impressive performance at the World Amateur Team Championships (WATC) 2025, taking place in Singapore from October 1 to 11.

The Vietnam team will participate in the World Amateur Team Championships 2025 (WATC 2025), the World Amateur Team Golf Championship, organized by the International Golf Federation (IGF) every two years.

This is the first time Vietnam has had a team participating in this tournament, recognizing the progress of young golfers and the international exchange orientation of the Vietnam Golf Association.

The Vietnamese golf team participating in WATC 2025 includes: Nguyen Anh Minh, Nguyen Duc Son, Ho Anh Huy, Le Chuc An, Anna Le, Arena Tran.

Two other athletes, Nguyen Tuan Anh and Nguyen Viet Gia Han, unfortunately suffered different injuries last week and had to withdraw from WATC 2025.

WATC 2025 will be held in Singapore at Tanah Merah Country Club, with two events: the Eisenhower Trophy for men and the Espirito Santo Trophy for women. The women's event will run from October 1 to 4, while the men's event will run from October 8 to 11.

Each team consists of three members, and in each round, the scores of the two golfers with the best performance will count for the team. After four rounds, the total score will determine the team's final ranking.

This is the first time Singapore has hosted WATC, and is also a special opportunity for domestic players to compete, gain experience and affirm the position of Vietnamese golf in the world arena.

The World Amateur Team Championship was first held in 1958 at the Old Course at St Andrews and 2025 will be the 34th edition.
