H Lỡk Byă (far left) disseminates policy information to women in Yă Wăm B village. |
The village of Yă Wăm B currently has 157 households with over 800 inhabitants, mostly from the Êđê ethnic group; many households are still poor or near-poor; and the awareness of the people remains limited. Therefore, the most difficult issue is disseminating information and mobilizing people to participate in activities and movements at the grassroots level. “Although the economic circumstances of the families are still difficult, if we make an effort, work with a sense of responsibility, and always think about the interests of the people, the work will be easier to accomplish,” shared Ms. H Lỡk Byă.
As the head of the village's loan and savings group, H. Lỡk understands the needs of the people and assists them in preparing loan applications and procedures from the Social Policy Bank to invest in family economic development. Because she lives in the village, she understands the circumstances of each household; therefore, she strives to help the most disadvantaged and hardworking households access loans as quickly as possible. H. Lỡk confided: “With the support of my family, I prioritize most of my time for the village's community work. After that, I do family work and farm like everyone else. Interacting with the villagers and participating in community movements in the village and commune is also a joy for me.”
