Bill Gates often posts about his travels around the world , combining philanthropy and environmental protection, all from his familiar private jet.

On the morning of March 4th, American billionaire Bill Gates returned to Vietnam after 18 years. He and his girlfriend arrived in Da Nang on a private Gulfstream G650ER aircraft and stayed at a 5-star resort in Son Tra district. He also plans to visit Hoi An for a vacation .

In 2006, Bill Gates visited Vietnam for a one-day trip and met with representatives from the information technology industry. During that trip, Bill Gates spent an afternoon visiting Tu Son district in Bac Ninh province, where he tried chewing betel nut and listened to Quan Ho folk music.

At nearly 70 years old, Bill Gates still frequently travels the world. On his personal page, the billionaire often posts about trips that combine charity work, participation in environmental protection forums, and technology forums.

Four days before his trip to Vietnam, the American billionaire visited India. On his personal Instagram page, he posted videos and photos of himself checking in at the Statue of Unity – the world's tallest statue, located in the state of Gujarat. Bill Gates came to India at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On his personal page, he thanked the Indian Prime Minister and praised the colossal 182-meter-tall statue as "a masterpiece of engineering and of great significance" in honor of independence activist Sardar Patel – India's first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.

In late January, Bill Gates visited Rome, Italy. The billionaire, born in 1955, wrote on his personal page that the highlight of any trip to Rome is the delicious food. Not pizza or spaghetti, but the dishes Bill Gates enjoyed during this visit to Italy were special foods developed by CGIAR – a global partnership bringing together international organizations involved in research on food security. The American billionaire shared that the foods CGIAR is developing contribute to helping farmers adapt to climate change.

Bill Gates is a fan of fast food like hamburgers, soda, and french fries. In a February blog post on his personal blog, Gatenotes, he shared that his favorite is the cheeseburger.

Bill Gates frequently visits Africa. In June 2023, he spent a week in Nigeria and Niger, describing it as a "busy but inspiring" week. The American billionaire regularly visits Africa to carry out charitable programs and support communities. He says Nigeria feels both new and familiar each time he visits. The Microsoft founder once wrote on his personal page that Africa is a place full of potential and opportunity whenever he sees the continent through the eyes of its optimistic young people.

In his first Instagram post in 2017, he also shared photos of his trip to Tanzania with his ex-wife. Bill Gates praised the scenery in the region as stunning. "Whenever I travel to places like this, I wish other people could go with me and meet the people I meet," he wrote on his personal page.

As an environmental activist, Bill Gates also takes time to visit protected destinations. In October 2022, the American billionaire visited the protected beaches in the Gulf of California in northwestern Mexico. This area, once dubbed the "aquarium of the world," is renowned for its unique ecosystem, home to a vast array of marine and terrestrial life. The region boasts approximately 900 species.

"This area is truly special and a global gem for biodiversity conservation. I am so grateful that it is protected," Bill Gates shared on his personal page.

Besides business trips, Bill Gates also takes time to travel with family and close friends. In July 2021, he went to Tokyo to attend the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and was present at the equestrian competition to cheer on his son-in-law Nayel.

In June 2019, Bill Gates posted a short video of his trip to Omaha, the largest city in Nebraska, USA. There, he spent time with his close friend, billionaire Warren Buffett. In July 2018, he posted a photo of himself and his father on vacation at Hood Canal, a fjord in Washington state, USA. Bill Gates shared that this was a familiar destination for the two of them since childhood.

Bill Gates, born in 1955, is the co-founder of Microsoft, the world's largest software company. He has held positions as chairman, CEO, and chief software architect. As of March, Gates had a net worth of $149 billion and was the fifth richest person in the world. After leaving his executive role at Microsoft in 2008, he continued to pursue business and philanthropic projects.

Bill Gates is said to own six private aircraft, including four private jets, a Cessna 208 seaplane, and a Eurocopter EC 135 helicopter. His private jet collection includes two Gulfstream G650ERS and two Bombardier Challenger 350s. During his world travels, the Gulfstream G650ER, with a list price of nearly $70 million, is often his personal jet, considered the Rolls-Royce of business jets.
