To ensure a smooth and efficient tourist reception, immediately after Typhoon No. 3 passed, the Ha Long Bay Management Board, along with relevant units and businesses, promptly cleaned up, equipped facilities, and prepared infrastructure to ensure the safety of visitors. Approximately 359 vessels are currently anchored at Ha Long International Cruise Port and Tuan Chau International Cruise Port. Of these, 315 vessels, accounting for 88%, are ready for operation. According to a report from the Quang Ninh Provincial Department of Transport, Typhoon No. 3 caused the sinking of 27 tourist boats and 4 transfer vessels. After the storm subsided, businesses quickly began restoration efforts, ensuring nearly 90% of the total number of vessels are ready for operation. From the morning of September 13th, the Quang Ninh Inland Waterway Port Authority began allowing tourists to stay overnight in Ha Long Bay on several itineraries. Since the beginning of the year, Ha Long Bay has welcomed approximately 2.5 million tourists, including nearly 434,000 overnight visitors.
