Ha Nam announces decisions on personnel matters.

Kinhtedothi - On February 20th, the People's Committee of Ha Nam province held a conference to announce the decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee regarding personnel matters.

At the conference, the Provincial People's Council announced its Resolution on the establishment of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee, including departments and equivalent agencies: establishing the Department of Agriculture and Environment by merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; establishing the Department of Finance by merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance; establishing the Department of Construction by merging the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction; establishing the Department of Science and Technology by merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology; and establishing the Department of Internal Affairs by merging the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Internal Affairs.

At the same time, the province will maintain 7 specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee (with adjustments to their functions, tasks, and internal organizational structure), including: the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Department of Education and Training; the Department of Justice; the Department of Health; the Department of Industry and Trade; the Provincial People's Committee Office; and the Provincial Inspectorate. The newly established departments will officially begin operations from March 1, 2025.

The conference also announced and presented 25 decisions on appointments and early retirements for leaders of 5 newly established departments and agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony to assign new duties to the newly appointed officials, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Quoc Huy expressed his hope that each transferred and appointed official would continue to uphold their sense of responsibility, capabilities, and strengths, overcome all difficulties, quickly adapt to their new work, and promote a high spirit of unity and solidarity within the team to successfully fulfill the political tasks of their agency or unit.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted several key tasks for the coming period. These included requesting that leaders of departments and agencies closely adhere to their assigned tasks, ensuring efficient transfer of documents and work; promptly developing functions, tasks, and organizational structures; reviewing the appointment of heads and deputy heads of departments and agencies, ensuring the placement of capable and qualified personnel; guaranteeing smooth operation of the apparatus from March 1, 2025; and successfully fulfilling political tasks, contributing to promoting digital transformation, the digital economy, and the province's economic growth in the era of national development.
