Up to now, the entire outside of the building has been covered with tarpaulin to prevent dust from spreading, ensuring the safety of people and vehicles moving around the area. Inside the construction area, some items such as the roof of the first floor have been demolished by the authorities using a crane.

According to the representative of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem District, the building demolition process was strictly implemented, ensuring absolute safety for neighboring houses and ensuring environmental sanitation for the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square area.

The demolition of the “Shark Jaws” building is expected to be completed in June.

After the demolition of the "Shark Jaws" building, Hanoi City will continue to research solutions for developing underground space, continue to renovate the street area around Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and renovate the overall technical infrastructure to match the special national relic of Hoan Kiem Lake.
