To date, the entire exterior of the building has been covered with tarpaulins to prevent dust from spreading, ensuring the safety of people and vehicles moving around the area. Inside the construction area, some items, such as the roof of the first floor, have been partially demolished by the authorities using cranes.

According to a representative of the Hoan Kiem District People's Committee, the building demolition process was carried out strictly, ensuring absolute safety for neighboring houses and maintaining environmental hygiene in the Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square area.

The demolition of the "Shark's Jaw" building is expected to be completed in June.

After the demolition of the "Shark's Jaw" building is completed, Hanoi will continue to study solutions for developing underground space, further renovate the street-front area around Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, and comprehensively improve the technical infrastructure to be commensurate with the Hoan Kiem Lake National Special Monument.
