The above content in the document sent by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training to schools aims to ensure security, safety, and traffic in the city during the training, preliminary rehearsal, and general rehearsal of the celebration, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Accordingly, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested schools in the former districts of Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, Cau Giay, Tay Ho, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, Hoang Mai, Thanh Xuan, Long Bien, Ha Dong to let students take time off on the days of practice 21 and 24/8; preliminary rehearsal 27/8 (reserve 28/8) and final rehearsal 30/8 (reserve 31/8).
Schools in other wards and communes, based on actual conditions, consider and decide to let students take time off during practice sessions, preliminary rehearsals, general rehearsals for celebrations, parades, and marches.
Meanwhile, teachers still have to go to school to prepare for the opening ceremony of the 2025-2026 school year on September 5.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also noted that schools located along the route where parades and processions pass through must provide people and tourists with a place to stop, rest, and use personal hygiene facilities, etc. to ensure respect and hospitality.
In the 2025-2026 school year, Hanoi will have more than 2.3 million preschool and primary school students, an increase of about 60,000 compared to last year. The total number of schools is 2,954, of which 43 are newly built.
Starting from the new school year, primary school students in Hanoi will receive a lunch allowance of VND20,000-30,000/day, applicable to both public and private schools. This policy aims to improve the quality of meals at boarding schools and reduce the burden on parents.
