Although this year's New Year holiday is only one day, Hanoi still welcomed 160,000 visitors, an increase of 17% over the same period last year.
Of which: international tourists are estimated at 28.4 thousand arrivals, up 67%; domestic tourists are estimated at 132 thousand arrivals, up 10%.
Total revenue from tourists is estimated at VND594 billion, up 26% over the same period in 2024.
The city focuses on improving quality, launching many new tourism programs and products as well as organizing attractive activities and events to stimulate demand, attract tourists to visit and experience such as: "Welcome New Year 2025" program (Countdown program) with the New Year sound-light party "Herbalife Countdown Party 2025 - Live the moment" at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square; "Trust The Moment" Grand Music Festival at August Revolution Square.
Also on this occasion, the walking street space around Hoan Kiem Lake and surrounding areas will operate from 7:00 p.m. on December 31, 2024 to midnight on January 1, 2025, creating conditions for people and tourists to participate in recreational activities.
