Responding to the National Innovation Day 2025

Implementing the direction of the Government leaders, to encourage, motivate and promote the spirit of innovation among the people, promote the combined strength of the entire political system to join hands in promoting innovation, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) has issued Official Dispatch No. 4652/BKHCN-DMST to Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government; People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities; Central mass organizations and associations; State-owned corporations and groups; Universities to pay attention to directing and organizing activities to respond to and celebrate the National Innovation Day 2025.

The theme of the National Innovation Day 2025 is "Innovation for all people - Driving force for national development" with the slogan "Warmly welcome the National Innovation Day October 1".

The purpose of organizing the National Innovation Day 2025 is to: (1) Continue to affirm the strong determination and commitment of the Party and State in promoting innovation; affirm the strategic and central role of innovation in promoting rapid and sustainable growth, improving national productivity and competitiveness, and socio -economic development ; (2) Propagate, disseminate, communicate, and raise awareness of the whole society about the role and key driving force of science and technology (S&T), innovation and digital transformation (DCT) for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development. Arouse and spread the spirit of passion for innovation, encourage individuals, organizations, businesses, especially the young generation, and private enterprises to actively participate in applied research, technology transfer, innovation, and innovation; (3) Honor and encourage new ideas and breakthroughs in all fields of organizations, businesses and individuals, contributing to promoting innovation and developing the national innovation ecosystem; (4) Promote the development of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; make science and technology the driving force of the economy; Innovation is the main driving force of growth; Digital transformation is a strategic tool to enhance national innovation capacity; contribute to developing high-quality human resources, improving labor productivity, national competitiveness and promoting sustainable socio-economic growth; (5) Promote the development of the national innovation system, focusing on enterprises; strengthen the connection between the Enterprise - State - Institute/School - Investor - Community sectors with the role of digital platforms connecting technology supply - demand, experts - ideas.

During the period from September 22 to October 5, 2025, ministries, branches and localities will simultaneously deploy response activities with diverse forms and practical content: Propaganda and multi-platform communication (press, television, social networks, digital platforms) about the purpose and meaning of the Festival, introducing and honoring achievements and typical models of innovation; organizing specialized events, conferences, seminars, policy discussions, online and direct exchanges, exhibitions, technology demonstrations; organizing consulting activities, connecting technology supply and demand, connecting businesses - institutes, schools - investors - management agencies - communities through digital platforms; launching emulation movements, competitions, technical improvement initiatives, applying new technologies, building a culture of innovation; Commend, honor, and reward outstanding collectives and individuals with achievements and contributions to promoting science, technology, and innovation activities in industries and fields.

In particular, the Ministry of Science and Technology will organize the Ceremony to respond to the National Innovation Day 2025, the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition 2025 (VIIE 2025) and the Innovation Policy Forum at the National Innovation Center (NIC), Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi from October 1-3, 2025.

The Ministry of Science and Technology requests ministries, branches, provincial/municipal People's Committees, corporations, enterprises, research institutes, universities, etc. to pay attention to directing and organizing response activities associated with the political and professional tasks of the unit; at the same time, send a report of results to the Ministry of Science and Technology (through the Department of Innovation) before October 15, 2025 for synthesis.

The National Innovation Day on October 1 is not only an occasion to honor achievements in science and technology but also a call for all people to participate in innovation, join hands to create new development momentum for the country. Each agency, organization, enterprise and individual should proactively respond, turn the spirit of innovation into concrete actions, contribute to improving the quality of life and bring Vietnam to rapid and sustainable development.
