Hanoi supports 20 billion VND for Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes to overcome the consequences of floods.

Faced with severe damage caused by storm No. 11, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to add 20 billion VND from the city's budget in 2025 for Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes to overcome the consequences of floods.

According to Decision No. 5075/QD-UBND, each commune (Trung Gia and Da Phuc) will receive support of 10 billion VND, taken from the city budget reserve in 2025. This funding source is to help the locality urgently deploy measures to respond to and overcome the damage caused by heavy rain, rising water and deep flooding in recent days.

As of the end of October 10, Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes were still deeply flooded.

The City People's Committee assigned the People's Committees of Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes to be responsible for receiving, managing, and using the funds for the right purposes, economically and effectively; at the same time, organizing the implementation of tasks of flood and storm prevention, dyke reinforcement, and evacuating people from dangerous areas. Localities must report to the Party Committee and People's Council of the commune according to the working regulations, make final settlements, and return the unused funds in 2025 according to the provisions of the State Budget Law.

The decision was issued based on the Prime Minister's directives on focusing on quickly overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and proactively responding to storm No. 11, as well as the Hanoi People's Committee's dispatch on deploying emergency response to storm No. 11 (Matmo).

Previously, due to the impact of storm No. 11, many areas in Soc Son district, especially Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes, were deeply flooded, hundreds of households had to be urgently evacuated. The police, army and local authorities mobilized maximum human resources and means to support the evacuation of people, protect property and reinforce key dykes.

The City People's Committee's timely provision of additional funding is an important source of encouragement, demonstrating the proactive and responsible spirit of the Capital Government in the work of preventing and mitigating natural disasters, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property.
