Hanoi temporarily bans and restricts vehicles on many routes on August 19

On August 19, the inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies of projects and works to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam took place in Hanoi; Hanoi City Police announced to the people and traffic participants to know, comply, choose appropriate travel routes and support the Capital Police force to complete their tasks.

Specifically, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on August 19, temporarily ban and restrict cargo vehicles with a cargo weight of 3,500 kg or more, passenger vehicles with 29 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident response vehicles, vehicles with security badges, vehicles of the police force, the army and other priority vehicles according to the provisions of law) and restrict trucks with a cargo weight of less than 3,500 kg, passenger vehicles with less than 29 seats and private cars and motorbikes operating on some routes: Ly Son, Truong Sa, Hoang Sa.

During the above time, Hanoi City Police will organize directions for vehicles to detour and avoid temporarily prohibited and restricted areas as follows:

Vehicles from Hai Phong, Bac Ninh provinces... to Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen provinces... follow Thanh Tri bridge, Ring Road 3, Vo Van Kiet or Hanoi - Bac Giang highway, National Highway 18, Vo Van Kiet... and vice versa.

Vehicles from National Highway 3 to Xuan Canh intersection and Bac Thang Long - Vuc De intersection go in the direction of Hoang Sa and Vo Van Kiet streets.

Means of transport from Noi Bai airport to Vo Nguyen Giap - National Highway 18 to Vo Van Kiet or Hanoi - Bac Giang highway.

For other routes and vehicles, comply with the regulations on the operation of vehicles in Hanoi issued under Decision No. 06/2013/QD-UBND dated January 25, 2013 of the City People's Committee (amended and supplemented in Decision No. 24/2020/QD-UBND dated October 2, 2020 of the Hanoi People's Committee) and other regulatory documents of competent authorities.

The Department of Construction will base on the traffic flow announcement to direct functional units to adjust the routes of passenger buses and limit operations on the roads.

Hanoi City Police require all vehicles participating in traffic to voluntarily and strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Safety and follow the instructions and traffic flow of the authorities.
