Building modern, environmentally friendly industrial zones
According to the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, as of April 15, 2025, the whole province has 17 industrial parks (IPs) that have been approved for investment, with a total area of over 9,000 hectares. Of which, 13 IPs have been put into operation, the remaining 4 IPs are in the process of implementing procedures and building infrastructure.
In the province's industrial parks, there are 621 valid investment projects, including 295 domestic projects with a total registered capital of more than 179,000 billion VND and 1.018 billion USD, along with 326 foreign investment projects with a total capital of nearly 16.4 billion USD.
The total area of industrial land for lease is nearly 3,650 hectares, corresponding to an occupancy rate of 69.42% of the total land area of operating industrial parks. Technical infrastructure in industrial parks is invested synchronously with modern power supply, water supply, wastewater treatment, internal traffic, and telecommunications systems, meeting the needs of secondary enterprises.
With their advantages, in recent times, industrial parks in the province have focused on attracting investment projects in fields such as: supporting industry, electrical and electronic equipment, precision mechanics, high-tech materials, specialized chemicals... in line with the orientation of sustainable development, clean technology, and environmental friendliness.
Regarding the orientation of industrial development space, Ba Ria - Vung Tau focuses on two strategic areas: Phu My City and Chau Duc District. Of which, Phu My is now the industrial - seaport center of the region with a system of industrial parks with high occupancy rates, while Chau Duc District is planned to become a new industrial growth pole, with a lot of room for land funds and infrastructure that continues to be invested.
Industrial development according to planning also contributes to population regulation, reduces pressure on coastal urban areas and creates conditions for comprehensive socio-economic development.
In addition, Ba Ria - Vung Tau is aiming to build industrial parks following the model of green industrial parks and ecological industries. Some industrial parks such as Phu My 3 Industrial Park and Phu My 2 expansion are participating in piloting the development of ecological industrial park models with technical support from international organizations. This is an important step, demonstrating the orientation of long-term, sustainable, environmentally friendly development and in accordance with international standards.

Accompanying and removing difficulties for investors and businesses
Mr. Vo Thanh Phong - Head of the Industrial Park Management Board of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province shared that in 2025, the Industrial Park Management Board has focused on being the focal point for supporting, consulting, providing public services, accompanying and removing difficulties for investors and enterprises from investment, construction to supporting enterprises in symbiotic industry, circular economy, clean and green production towards transforming the ecological industrial model. Implementing post-audit supervision on the provision of public services, investment, construction, business, environment; developing plans for industrial park development, investment promotion.
In addition, the unit also supports investors with investment projects in industrial parks to carry out administrative procedures on investment, enterprises, land, construction, environment, labor, and trade under the "one-stop" mechanism, and supports labor supply and other related issues during project implementation.

In order to attract more and more businesses to invest in Ba Ria - Vung Tau and especially in local industrial parks, recently, Chairman of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Tho has also directed departments, branches and localities to continue reviewing and supporting businesses to remove difficulties and promote production and business activities.
According to the development orientation, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will develop the industrial economic axis - Cai Mep - Thi Vai seaport associated with the inter-port traffic system and National Highway 51. Based on the clearly defined functional areas, in addition to the 2 industrial parks in Vung Tau city (Dong Xuyen, Long Son) and Dat Do (Dat Do 1), the entire industrial park development area of the province will be located in Phu My and Chau Duc.
Along with that, along Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and Ring Road 4, Ho Chi Minh City forms a dynamic economic axis of industry - logistics; develops large-scale industrial - service - urban complexes in Phu My new city; forms high-tech industrial parks, new service urban areas in Cu Bi and Suoi Nghe (Chau Duc district); logistics zones along Ring Road 4; provincial logistics centers in Chau Duc district.
With a solid infrastructure foundation and an open investment environment, the industrial park system in Ba Ria - Vung Tau continues to affirm its role as a locomotive for industrial growth in the province, making a great contribution to the goal of building a green, modern and sustainable economy.
At the 2025 investment conference held at the end of May, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province awarded certificates and investment policy decisions to 53 projects with a total investment capital of more than 1 billion USD and 71,000 billion VND. |
