Ha Tinh hopes the United States will invest in high-tech industry.

On the afternoon of October 24, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province Le Ngoc Chau had a meeting with the working delegation of the US Embassy in Vietnam led by Ms. Carolyn Dubrovsky - Deputy Political Counselor during their visit and work in Ha Tinh province.

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province Le Ngoc Chau expressed his delight at the positive development of the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and the United States in recent years. In particular, the relationship between the two countries has been upgraded to the level of "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership", creating new opportunities for cooperation at both national and local levels.

Sharing information on the socio -economic situation of Ha Tinh province in recent times, Vice Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau emphasized: Ha Tinh is one of the provinces with a good growth rate and budget revenue in Vietnam. Ha Tinh province's economic growth in the first 9 months of 2023 is estimated at 7.68%, the total budget revenue in the area reached 12,906 billion VND... In recent times, Ha Tinh has also received attention and support from the Government, organizations and businesses of the United States in fields such as: health, education, enhancing resilience to natural disasters and some FDI projects... The locality also closely coordinated in solving post-war issues, searching for the remains of American soldiers missing in action (MIA)... At the Conference to announce the Provincial Planning and promote investment, the US Embassy sent representatives to participate, thereby contributing to the success of this event. In the coming time, Ha Tinh hopes to develop cooperative relationships and exchange information with the US Embassy in Vietnam, thereby promoting investment promotion activities in the area. Accordingly, Ha Tinh calls on foreign enterprises and corporations, including the US, to explore investment in areas such as high-tech industry, innovation, logistics, education, etc.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Carolyn Dubrovsky - Deputy Political Counselor of the US Embassy in Vietnam expressed her excitement when visiting and working in Ha Tinh and learning that a number of US investors were interested in and learning about investing in the area.

Ms. Carolyn Dubrovsky also shared more about President Joe Biden's visit and work in Vietnam and the joint statement on upgrading Vietnam-US relations to "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership". The results of the visit showed that the two countries have promoted relations in many fields, including many new fields such as: innovation, high technology, and higher education.

In the joint statement, the two sides decided to promote cooperation in science, technology and innovation in the digital field, considering this a new breakthrough in the comprehensive strategic partnership. At the same time, the two countries also signed a cooperation agreement in the field of defense and security, focusing on maritime security. The United States also wishes to strengthen coordination in the field of preventing human trafficking and cybercrime...
