Improve capacity for propaganda and mobilization of voluntary blood donation

On October 16, in Cam Ranh ward, Khanh Hoa Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center coordinated with units to organize training to improve propaganda and mobilization capacity for voluntary blood donation for more than 50 volunteers and collaborators of the ward.

At the training course, trainees were updated with basic knowledge and skills on propaganda and mobilization of voluntary blood donation; shared experiences in organizing effective models of activities in the locality; and were informed about ensuring blood transfusion safety and the rights of blood donors. The training course equipped volunteers with the necessary skills, helping them carry out propaganda work effectively. At the same time, it raised public awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation.

Since the beginning of the year, the province has organized more than 150 voluntary blood donation campaigns, mobilizing nearly 26,550 people to participate. The donated blood collected more than 24,500 units (reaching 72% of the target), meeting the needs of emergency and treatment at medical facilities in the province.
