HAGL registers 15 year old goalkeeper

Goalkeeper Nguyen Thanh Loi is the youngest player on HAGL's 2025/26 V.League registration list.

According to the update on the VPF competition registration system, goalkeeper Nguyen Thanh Loi was born on November 30, 2009. He was only recently registered by HAGL when goalkeeper Nguyen Vu Khang was injured. At only 15 years and 273 days old, Thanh Loi became the youngest player to participate in the number one tournament of Vietnamese football.

Thanh Loi is from the first U15 class of the Football Academy founded by Coach Park Hang-seo. This young player is 1.86 m tall and has been signed by the mountain town team since May 2025. Although he has never played professionally, being registered in the V.League is a great opportunity for Thanh Loi to learn and gradually integrate into the top environment.

Besides Thanh Loi, HAGL this season also registered 3 other goalkeepers including Huynh Tran Bao Duy (2004), Phan Dinh Vu Hai (1994) and Tran Trung Kien (2003) - who is currently the number one goalkeeper of the mountain town team.

In the 2024/25 season, Tran Gia Bao (born in 2008) was also named and became the youngest player in the tournament at that time, although he did not have many opportunities to play. Thus, like last season, HAGL continued to introduce "teenage" players after saying goodbye to a series of key players.

The continuous introduction of young talents shows that HAGL is steadfast in its strategy of rejuvenating the squad, considering this a foundation for long-term development.
