Hai Duong is one of five provinces completing the task of building new rural areas.

According to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , the estimated implementation of the goals and tasks of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction by September 2024 is as follows:

There are 5 provinces ( Nam Dinh , Dong Nai, Ha Nam, Hung Yen and Hai Duong) completing the task of building new rural areas; 22 provinces and cities have 100% of communes meeting new rural standards; 296 district-level units in 58 provinces and cities have completed the task/met new rural standards; 6,300/8,162 communes nationwide have met new rural standards.
