Hanoi has the first ethnic minority commune to achieve advanced new rural status.

According to Decision No. 5963, the Hanoi People's Committee recognized the communes of Duong Lieu, Song Phuong (Hoai Duc district) and Minh Quang commune (Ba Vi district) to meet advanced new rural standards (phase 1) in 2024.

Notably, Minh Quang commune is also the first locality out of 14 communes in the ethnic minority and mountainous areas of the capital to achieve this impressive achievement.

Communes meeting advanced new rural standards (phase 1) in 2024 will be awarded a Certificate of recognition for the title of commune meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024 and a Certificate of Merit from the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee.

The People's Committees of districts and communes are responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of the achieved criteria and continuing to build model new rural areas in the 2021-2025 period according to regulations.

With 3 more communes meeting the advanced new rural standards (phase 1) in 2024, statistics show that Hanoi has had 189 communes meeting the advanced new rural standards. In addition, the city also has 84 communes meeting the model new rural standards in various fields.
