These are two courses held consecutively to take full advantage of the support from the physical trainers of AFC and Japan Football Association (JFA).
Currently, Vietnam has instructors for football, goalkeeper, and futsal coaching, but no instructors for physical training. Therefore, these two courses also aim to have physical training instructors in the future to share with Vietnamese coaches.
At the end of the 1A level physical training course (the first course in the 4 AFC physical training courses including 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B), the coaches shared very frankly about the physical training course.
Coach Vu Nhu Thanh said that the course was very interesting with a lot of information and expressed his thanks to the VFF for organizing the course. “There is some essential knowledge that has been taught in previous C/B/A/Pro courses and is repeated in this physical training course, giving coaches the opportunity to review.
In fact, during the course, knowledge related to coaching is easier to absorb. Knowledge about sports science , statistics, etc. requires more time to study and understand deeply," Coach Vu Nhu Thanh shared.
For their part, the two instructors Yasumatsu and Kanno also said that the students had spent the first 5 days exposed to knowledge about physical fitness; coming to class was not as a teacher and student, but rather an exchange between colleagues about football.
The two instructors also expressed their wish to see all the coaches again in the next phase 1B of the course and hoped that the coaches would work hard and complete the assigned exercises before phase 2B.
At the opening of the 2A level physical training course, lecturer Yasumatsu Minikobu thanked the Vietnam Football Federation for inviting him to teach and thanked the coaches who, despite being very busy with work at the club, took the time to attend the course.
“We personally also try to build the most effective for the participating coaches this time. The coaches have all shown enthusiasm to learn and are motivated when acquiring new knowledge in course 1A. The coaches here are not students and we here are not teachers. We are all like a football family and we also want to know your experiences so that you can share them with us,” said lecturer Yasumatsu.
Instructor Kanno Atsushi is happy to see everyone again after the recent PRO course in Japan and wishes to help bring good things to the class.
“I want to help you, support you in the class as effectively as possible. During the learning process, please open your heart to us. I have been in Vietnam for a week, I have watched many youth and professional matches of Vietnamese football.
You have a lot of potential. Maybe next step, if you have a chance to go to the World Cup, you will need to work harder to make your dream come true. Start the course, enjoy, be open and work hard. Try to bring the highest efficiency", lecturer Kanno emphasized.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Vu Van Sac - Head of Administration, Ho Chi Minh City Football Club (formerly Ba Ria Club) expressed his gratitude for the trust and authority of the Vietnam Football Federation in hosting the course.
“Ho Chi Minh City Club will do its best to support the success of the course. During the course, if there are any difficulties, the coaches should share them with our Organizing Committee. The players will be assigned by the coaches to support the course. On behalf of the local Organizing Committee, we wish the coaches participating in the course will study well and acquire knowledge for the future,” said Mr. Vu Van Sac.
The two level 1 and 2 fitness coaching courses mark an important step forward in the training of fitness coaches in Vietnam. Not only does it help coaches improve their professional knowledge, the course also opens up opportunities to build a team of local fitness instructors, contributing to the systematic development of the country's football.
