On the morning of July 26, at the City Political - Administrative Center, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung chaired a meeting to check the progress of preparations for participating in the National Achievements Exhibition on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The exhibition, organized by the Central Government at the National Exhibition Fair Center ( Hanoi ) from August 28 to September 5, 2025, is an event of national and international scale, with profound political, cultural and social significance.
This is an opportunity for Hai Phong city to introduce to domestic and international friends its outstanding achievements during 80 years of construction and development; especially the post-unification period.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - the standing agency assisting the City People's Committee in organizing and participating in the exhibition, up to now, the city's preparations have achieved many important results, closely following the direction of the City Party Committee, the City People's Committee and the guidance of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has coordinated with the consulting unit to complete the exhibition design and send it to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Based on comments from the ministry, the design was adjusted to be modern and imbued with local identity.
The exhibition space is designed synchronously indoors and outdoors. The outdoor area alone has an area of over 9,800 m², including product display areas, experience spaces, stages, check-in booths, service areas and technical infrastructure. Currently, 76 businesses have registered to participate in the exhibition, in 8 fields: industry, agriculture, real estate, logistics, tourism, information technology, cuisine, and handicrafts.
The Department is also working with culinary businesses to adjust participating products to meet the criteria for display and on-site processing according to the requirements of the Exhibition Organizing Committee; demonstrating the unique features of Hai Phong culinary culture.
Regarding the progress of content production, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proactively synthesizes data from departments and branches to produce content for 11 exhibition topics, and at the same time consults the Arts Council, the City Historical Science Association and professional agencies.

According to the plan, from now until August 27, Hai Phong will focus on completing all documents, producing content and constructing indoor and outdoor displays.
The exhibition officially opened on the morning of August 28 in Hanoi. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the City People's Committee consider allocating funds for shared items at the outdoor exhibition area such as tents, cooling systems, electricity and water, etc., which currently do not have separate sources of support. At the same time, the City People's Committee was requested to direct relevant businesses and units to urgently complete the detailed design and send it back before July 29 to be integrated into the overall design (deadline July 30).
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung highly appreciated the proactive spirit and efforts of the units in preparing to participate in the exhibition. However, the progress of implementation is still slow compared to the requirements of the central government, especially in the following contents: detailed design of each exhibition booth; coordination in providing and receiving information between units is still ineffective, leading to affecting the overall progress.

Departments and agencies assigned with thematic content must complete the detailed design and send it back before July 28 for the department to synthesize and submit to the City People's Committee. The entire design of indoor and outdoor exhibitions must be completed no later than July 30, ready to hand over the construction site.
Regarding outdoor tents, we agree to build shared tents in the form of socialization, in the spirit of large enterprises supporting small enterprises.
Regarding the overall implementation progress, he requested the organization to hand over the construction site of the outdoor area before July 30 to ensure the time for installation and completion; the construction of the indoor exhibition area must be basically completed before August 15, meeting the requirements of the Organizing Committee's general rehearsal. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with departments, branches and enterprises to closely follow the progress plan, clearly assign people and tasks, and avoid delays and shirking of responsibility.
Regarding food booths and exhibition operations, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism works with food businesses that process on-site, officially register with the Exhibition Organizing Committee to arrange locations, ensure hygiene and food safety conditions, and commit to strict implementation.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates to develop a detailed operational scenario, from guiding tours to organizing receptions and experiences in indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring efficiency and professionalism.
