The tour is designed to honor the cultural and historical values of Hang Kenh Communal House, combining folk performing arts, traditional rituals and modern technology.
Activities on the tour include a water puppet show on the crescent lake, an incense offering and memorial service to King Ngo, and a 3D mapping projection recreating the Bach Dang victory in 938.
The 3D mapping show “Waves of Bach Dang, the heroic spirit of Ngo Quyen” consists of 5 segments, recreating from the homeland of Duong Lam, the military training scene, the study of tides to the grand scene of the Bach Dang battle, combining sound effects, lighting and moving images on the ancient architectural background.
Ms. Tran Thi Hoang Mai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong, said that the tour "Sacred Marks of Hang Kenh" is a pilot step in exploiting heritage using technology, aiming at developing sustainable cultural and tourism industries.
Hang Kenh Communal House was built over 300 years ago and is a place to worship Ngo Quyen, who defeated the Southern Han army and began a long period of national independence. In 1962, the building was ranked as a national monument.
The tour will take place regularly on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings every week.
