Hai Phong deploys 5 key people's foreign affairs tasks in the last 6 months of the year

The Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations has identified five key tasks from now until the end of 2025, focusing on propaganda, mobilizing non-governmental aid, strengthening multilateral coordination, improving the quality of staff and preparing for the new term Congress.

On July 11, the Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations held a conference to review the work in the first 6 months of the year; set out key tasks and solutions from now until the end of 2025.

According to the report at the Conference, in the first 6 months of the year, the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations and its member organizations have proactively and flexibly implemented effective people-to-people diplomacy according to the motto "proactive, flexible, creative, effective". Peace , solidarity, friendship and cooperation activities have been implemented synchronously and with focus, contributing to consolidating and expanding partnerships, promoting coordination with domestic and foreign organizations.

The Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations also promoted propaganda, mobilization and project development to call for foreign non- governmental aid. External information was carried out in many innovative forms such as websites, electronic boards, Zalo groups, etc. The organizational structure was focused on, gradually improved towards streamlining and professionalism.

Following the direction of the Central Government, the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee, the Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations has identified five key areas for people's foreign affairs from now until the end of 2025. Specifically: promoting awareness of the position and role of people's foreign affairs; doing a good job of mobilizing overseas Vietnamese; strengthening multilateral diplomacy, cooperation and mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid; improving the quality of specialized staff; organizing the Congress of the Hai Phong City Union of Friendship Organizations for the 2025-2030 term (after merging with the Hai Duong Province Union of Friendship Organizations) under the guidance of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
