The conference was attended by representatives of 126 foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises under the management of the Sub-Department. The main content was to guide enterprises in preparing final settlement reports and to disseminate and popularize Customs law regulations in 2024.
According to Nguyen Truong Son, Head of the Hai Phong Export Processing Zone and Industrial Zone Customs Branch, guidance and dialogue activities are one of the key contents in strengthening the Customs - Business partnership.
At the same time, through the Conference, the Customs agency disseminated important contents stated in the Agreement on developing the Customs - Business partnership that Hai Phong Customs Department has been implementing, the digital transformation and administrative reform plans in 2024 of Hai Phong Customs Department, so that businesses can grasp and accompany.
At the Conference, businesses listened to Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh, Deputy Head of the Department of Taxation and Customs (Academy of Finance) guide the work of "preparing settlement reports" for processed goods, export production, and export processing, with a strict legal basis system and practical, vivid, easy-to-understand and easy-to-implement content.
In addition, the Department's leaders and lecturers thoroughly answered 20 questions and recommendations raised by businesses at the Conference.
Hai Phong Export Processing Zone and Industrial Park Customs Branch is assigned to manage state customs for 5 industrial parks in the area, including: Nomura, Trang Due, An Duong, VSIP and Nam Cau Kien.
The total number of enterprises carrying out procedures at the unit is about 200, mainly operating in the form of export processing, outsourcing and production.
