This morning (December 20), in Hung Yen province, Hung Yen and Ha Tinh provinces coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health , the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO and the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences to organize the International Scientific Conference "Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac - Cultural celebrity and heritage value". Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu; Permanent Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen; Comrade Nguyen Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Hoang Trung Dung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee chaired the Conference. Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department attended and directed the conference. Attending were representatives of leaders of ministries, central departments and branches; domestic and international scientists and researchers.
The Ha Tinh delegation attending the workshop included comrade Vo Hong Hai, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; comrade Ha Van Hung, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; comrade Tran Van Ky, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrade Le Ngoc Chau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the workshop, the presentations focused on 5 thematic groups with the aim of continuing to affirm, honor and express gratitude for the contributions of Cultural Celebrity Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac.
On November 21, 2023, at the 42nd session of the General Assembly of the United NationsEducational , Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), a resolution was passed to honor "Cultural Celebrities and Historical Events" for the 2024-2025 school year, including Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac of Vietnam.

The event of UNESCO honoring Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac is the international recognition and appreciation of his contributions to society and community; is the clearest affirmation of the great achievements of the Vietnamese people in the fields of education, health, culture and society; is the spread of the talent and intelligence of the Vietnamese people in the international community.
Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized: Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac is a shining example, a model of medical ethics; a cultural celebrity of international stature. The great physician left behind a great legacy, especially the book Hai Thuong Y Tong Tam Linh with contemporary value, the "Encyclopedia" of Vietnamese Traditional Medicine.
Speaking at the workshop, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department affirmed: The stature of the celebrity and the legacy value of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac have a special persuasive power for international friends.

The workshop attracted many delegates and researchers from home and abroad.
Among them, studies with new sources of information have provided objective, scientific, profound and comprehensive perspectives on the heritage value of the Great Physician. The workshop is an important event in the series of activities to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac, organized by Ha Tinh province in coordination with Hung Yen province and central ministries, branches, and UNESCO Vietnam.
